Not so bold predictions

1) all Bruins players will be ready, willing and capable to play come 7:30 Monday.Monty will have tough choices to make.

2) inspite of these being two teams who are very capable of scoring, I'm expecting close, relatively low scoring games for most games.

Not sure how to screenshot common sense but I’ll try I guess.
For me, this is the best matchup. If the bruins beat Florida, then look out.
What has common sense got to do with the playoffs? The regular season is finished. You're a Bruins fan. Show me.

Gryz doesn’t play PP or PK. Playing Forbort takes PK minutes away from Orlov, Lindy, and McAvoy. Also, hockey is very situational. For example, the Bruins get 4 straight minutes of PP and then immediately take a penalty. You want fresh Gryz or fresh Forbort? Another, Florida just got 4 minutes of PP using all their best guys. We kill it. Then We can send out Orlov, McAvoy, or Lindy with our top forwards and create a mismatch. You want Gryz out instead of these 3? Maybe? The point is that situations arise, and it’s best to have your best options available. Gryz is really competing with Orlov and Lindy for 5 on 5 minutes, and if these two are on top of their game, Gryz minutes go down. No matter who plays among Forbort, Gryz, and Clifton, it would not surprise me if they all get about 12 minutes tops. Coaches come playoffs tend to load their horses up with the minutes.

BUT it's the best matchup, imo. The Bruins will have to play close checking to win against Florida. Perfect start for the long run. If they play run and gun, they're letting Florida into the arena. If they play defense first, defensemen be defensemen, live off of the rush and forecheck, and then wait, wait for Florida to make mistakes and pounce, then I think it's game over for the Panther folks.
So you’re advocating Forbort?

Forbort doesn’t take PK minutes away from McAvoy. Why do we want to take away PK minutes from Lindholm or Orlov? It’s the playoffs.

It really is. The East is stacked , there are no easy teams. Easiest team in our division that's for sure.

Really didn't want to play the Isles with that hard hitting, boring defensive style they play. Makes for some boring , frustrating games.

We'll have to play the Leafs or Tampa in the next round but I'd rather do that after they beat the crap out of each other first.

What did the French Fries have to say at, and after, game's end?

I've met some Montrealers at work. I say all the usual Bruins fan stuff, but also comfort them (yes) with the knowledge that after an eternity, they're finally in good hands. Note the hiring of Marty LaPointe,

Wooooo, Alex Burrows is the Habs assistant coach! At what, biting and gnawing!?!

Florida has nothing to lose. Made the playoffs on the second last day, from first (last year) to the second last day this year, Tkachuk this, Tkachuk that. What a great story. They'll play wide open. Beware and play accordingly.

Trent Frederic fan coming in peace- is he going to be the odd man out or in the line up for game 1? I’ve seen conflicting reports on twitter. To me it seems crazy he’d be scratched after the season he had and he seems like a playoff built player. St. Louis is rooting for him.

I think it's between Foligno and Frederic for the final spot. Not sure if Foligno is fully ready to go yet and even if he is you could make arguments either way for which guy should get the nod.

I agree, it seems crazy that Freddy could be scratched at this point and it would be harsh on him, but the Bruins' depth is insane and that means good players who have done a lot of solid service in the regular season are going to be sitting for at least some of the time. Same goes for Greer and one of the defenders, whether that be Forbort, Gryz or Cliffy.

Injuries are near inevitable though in a deep run, so these guys will probably get their shot at some point if the Bs go as far as we hope.

yep Bruins have to bring it. This team won the Presidents trophy last year so they can get hot. Saw them beat up Tampa this year too. make Barkov keep his head up and go after Tkachuk

The dehumidifiers they installed don't seem to be doing the trick, ice will be a factor for both teams. Having said that B's in 5. Ully and Sway will need to be on top of their games. This year's B's team is the best built for playoff team in ages, hats off to management.
Very true......and also love the pic of Gilles....my favorite goalie ever.
