I went with six. I hate the first round because if there is going to be an upset, it happens here. Actually watching basketball today waiting for Monday. I don’t watch basketball and I am seeing why.

Celtics are cool. Not interested in any other team. Surprise.

Actually, after 20 years of neglect, I am going to begin watching the Red Sox again.

Baseball is my least favorite sport for various reasons.

I hate summer, it's the most individual, stats driven team sport on the planet, the players are notoriously entitled, spoiled punks who make obscene money -- why, I haven't a clue, as they certainly don't deserve it -- and, mostly, until this season MLB has been a boring beyond belief, four hour snooze fest.

Leaving Margot Adams and Babah Wahwah to one side, Wade Boggs was both a technician and an artist at the plate. I didn't mind time spent watching him outfox or outlast a pitcher, which was frequently the case and the reason he was so damn good at getting on base.

But I was never interested in the tedious and stupid dance between pitcher (I'll take at least a lengthy minute between pitches) and batter (I'll step out of the box after each pitch, scratch my crotch, swing the bat precisely four times, spit my disgusting chewing tobacco or blow my sophomoric bubble gum, and eventually, at long last, reenter the box.

Because of the three major rules changes instituted this season, I'm giving baseball another swing at it.

We'll see,

PS Those red third jersey's are mighty handsome. I can't believe I'm writing this, but I may go ahead and pick one up,

In the run up to Monday, I do not want to read about the 2019 TBL.

Normally I would use their stunning first round exit as a healthy reminder not to get carried away or look beyond FLA.

This time, superstition.

Verboten.

Raus! Raus! Schnell! Schnell!

Got too drunk and didn't raise it until 9 ish the next morning, but I'm OK with that... hehehe.
Our goes up the day of the playoffs, so Monday AM, much to the disdain of the Leafs and Habs fans in our neighbourhood. Right in the front yard, on a huge flag pole. A friend of mine says it looks like a pirate flag...lol

My wife is a nurse in the "community" and she gets to hear the disdain of the neighbours in the area who complain about the flag, not knowing it's her house, haha

I like the blue ones better but these are cool too.

I have noticed that the games are faster since they adopted the pitch clock.

Latest Montgomery update:

”Mr. Number 8 is resting. He’s in good shape but definitely wrestling with the fact that time is moving too slowly. If he could have his way we’d get going tomorrow night. He’s a very impatient man. Our counselors are working with him, but all he keeps doing is asking “so what time is is now? Is it Monday, yet? Oh God please let it be Monday.””

Looks like grizz is the odd man out on D
No chance. Bruins proved they don't need Forbort anymore, but they are probably trying to get him some good reps with a regular.

Panthers have Gudas. Lomberg? Tkachuk is cheap but truly not physical as his brother is.

I agree with benching Gryz against Florida/Tampa but other opponents such as Toronto/NJ he would thrive as well. Florida is offense only... Bruins losing would be historically embarrassing, moreso than Tampa vs Columbus.
He's not getting benched IMO. They aren't stupid.

terrible matchup. hope to win in 7
BUT it's the best matchup, imo. The Bruins will have to play close checking to win against Florida. Perfect start for the long run. If they play run and gun, they're letting Florida into the arena. If they play defense first, defensemen be defensemen, live off of the rush and forecheck, and then wait, wait for Florida to make mistakes and pounce, then I think it's game over for the Panther folks.

The Bruins are going to play as they have all season, which is certainly not the style you describe.
