Pre-Game Talk: 2023 Draft Discussion

in other words, should be able to get some toughness that can relatively play in the 3rd-4th rounds?

Your likely looking for something akin to last seasons 7th round pick, Kaleb Lawrenece. Big kid who will use his size to mix it up and get greasy. Had a decent season for Owen Sound.

Has had some injury issues previous.

He's obviously a long shot and project but you never know. Worth the lotto ticket.

Okay, many delays to this because of the trade news and rumors.

There is at least one more article coming out after this one. As mentioned, this list had 20 names, but we realized this was just very long and a bit too much for people to digest in a sitting. So, we split it up.

This article has 5 "likely gone" meaning they'll likely be gone before 54 - but stranger things have happened (or the Kings could trade up). The other 5 we think will be there at 54, but either several other players will need to be picked first, or they will be players to look at in the 3rd round or later.

Hopefully you enjoy!

Some of the ol-boy hockey organizational guys seem still stuck in the 1950s. More so than most sports and industries.

The **** is wrong with teams asking this kind of question?

I could swear I had to answer a question like this when I applied to Taco Bell once. I bomb the enemy vessel. They are the immediate threat to not only my vessel but the crew in the water as well. Neutralize the threat and conduct rescue operations.

I ask a similar question on first dates. It really helps weed out the princesses

"It's so nice to meet you! *sits* would you go back in time and kill baby Hitler? Yes I'll take the soup du jour, thanks"

Then again if you have to use the phrase "bomb the enemy vessel" on a first date it might be time to throw in a question about ring size

I wish we had a shot at Nick Lardis but he seems to be on a steady climb up draft boards.

May sneak into the very back end of the 1st round and if not that, he will be gone by the early 2nd.

I would love him on name alone

We could call him Lard Ass

Well, let's see if we trade back up to the first round... :sarcasm: Or, we make some unlikely trade for a goaltender somehow during the draft.
