Gotcha.. he's not cut yet! Still with team. They have 3 guys and still add one as it progresses. He was in tough agains the core 4 of Hamara/Spacek/Svozil/Jiricek and the Czech powers that be love Moravec and Tichachek. Really it was between him and Ales Cech for the 5/6/7 spot.
Summary for non-Czech speakers: Jiříček's gear arrived to Halifax, they are trying to transport it from the airport to the arena so that Jiříček can use his own gear for the game.

Honesltly, I cannot complain too much.. I like the coach, I like the players, no stupid omission. Everything is very reasonable.
It could be argued that line 1 is a U18 lineup and line 2 is a U20 lineup and maybe swamp them to free up the kids?
I don't like Tichachek at 1 and Hamara at 5 but they really like Tichachek and he's a pro.
All small things though and a third pair of Hamara and Moravec would've been a top pair for us several times in the last decade.
I don't expect a win but am really happy going in. Like wooren says.. I just hope for no injuries to key players!

Jiricek is an NHL level player. Wow. CBJ have a stud there.
We saw him in the NHL earlier this year and he wasn't ready yet. His defensive skating needs work. He's getting there soon though.

He impressed the hell out of me tonight! Just a big guy doing great things. Curious how the rest of the tourney goes for him but he was noticeable from the first shift.
The usual suspects were great.. Svozil, Kulich, Jiricek, Suchanek, Spacek. Sale was quiet to my eye which isn't a knock as he's 17.

Sapo with 21 minutes and over 70 percent on the dot!
Spacek and Svozil with most minutes around 21 and 22
Sale with 20!
Jiricek with only 16
All the D above 15.. Rulik really rolled them effectively
Spacek was the only multi point player with 2 and he stopped a 'Michigan'.. he's underated!
Suchanek with an assist and a .947.. he also took US out in quarters.... how is he undrafted?lol

Svozil also had a couple points.
I'm not surprised by the minutes. Svozil-Spacek was the best pairing and they seemed to be out there a lot.
