BC has yet to let up a PP goal this season. Last year they were the #1 PK in the NCAA (60+ teams) and #1 shot blocking team, I don't know where their shot blocking ranks this year but I bet it's in the top 5 as the D for the most part has been impressive again. When he turns pro in April, going to be very interesting to see how it goes for him.

We said that for Primeau too. I'm more optimistic about Fowler, but let's not sell the bear pelt yet.
The Problem with Primeau was Les Canadiens turned him Pro 1-2 seasons too early...let him play a lot in College and train and strengthen his body while Maturing mentally,emotionally...

This guy is the real deal.
So was Ray Martyniuk circa 1970 first round draft choice Les Canadiens...can't miss kid

Body maturation has nothing to do with Primeau's struggles, it's all in his head. I don't think playing 2 more years in college would have helped either.

Same with Fowler, a 3rd year in college isn't needed.

Especially for goalies. They need to face pro players. Fowler in the AHL next season.

I hope Les Canadiesn don't turn him Pro after this season and let's him play his 3rd season in College

From what I heard he was considering turning pro after last season but not sure how true that is. I would expect him to be signed in April but we'll see how things go as BC is clearly in the mix for a National Championship again so how that unfolds could be a major factor in what he opts to do.

I would rather Fowler play another college season after this one rather than play in Laval for 3-4 seasons and share the Goaltending duties with Jakub Dobes?

You mean the way Les Canadiens turned Cayden Primeau pro after 2 seasons in College...its not a formula for success...I'm in favor of him turning Pro and facing Pro shooters but not until 2026

It’s not just that he turned pro too early, it’s that he shared the net with too many other goalies plus covid. He didn’t get enough games.

If they bring up Fowler he has to be the guy in Laval. If they sign him Dobes has to play elsewhere and Hughes has to expect few games, even if he outplays Fowler.

He got plenty of games.

2019-2020 35 games
2020-2021 20 games (AHL season was 36 games that year)
2021-2022 45 games + 14 games PO
2022-2023 44 games + 2 games PO
2023-2024 23 games

His issue is that he can't stay focused and play consistently, even throughout a game. No amount of playing will fix that.

I don't think it's a developmental issue, it's just part of the "goalie voodoo".
