The Refs really blew this game but the reality is the Kings are not built to compete for the Cup. The big guns are shooting blanks. Fiala hasn't done a thing but take stupid penalties, Dubois, all he does is go for a lazy skate when on the ice. Kempe is the only one that has done anything. I think Beckman needs to clean house at the top. The Luc era needs to end, he hasn't done a thing to make this team competitive and Blake is even worse. If Beckman can do this then he needs to go also.

Yes, Skinner aint a good goalie, but the Kings don't know how to generate offense and come from behind. If your team is only designed to needing to score first and then hold leads, with not even an average threat from the PP, then you don't deserve to win any playoffs games other than luck!

What I see going into the offseason is a team that isn't super skilled, yet they aren't physically imposing or fast enough to force their opponents to play their game. Couple that with a lack of goaltending and that isn't a recipe for ever getting out of the first round. The organization has to find a GM who can commit to giving the team an identity. Some of the deals this GM makes may be lopsided against us on paper but crucial in terms of establishing that identity. Without that we're not going anywhere.
