Utica going to have a new mascot tomorrow? Lol

Story behind the story...The young man that played Naudie just left a week ago and moved to Florida. The replacement Naudie did not get off to a good start with the first game. 😬

Just looked this up on Xwitter, wow, holy crap WTF.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

W Mascot

But I read it was just a veteran who pulled it out, people are making it more than it is

Pretty sure the mascot doesn’t normally wear a blue blazer or something on his head so it seems worse.

And as @UticaHockey pointed out this was his first f***ing game, he’s a little shit troll who should have never gotten the job.

If this announcement is supposed to distract from the Naudie thing by god it worked!

Yay, now sign Parent!

From what I understand the blue blazer had something to do with Valentines Day and he was passing out roses to people who had signed up for them.

The hair was no different. It's a weird yellowish punk rock looking mohawk that is part of the costume.

I'll give the mascot the benefit of the doubt that he didn't know what was on the flag. It was a veteran who had it and he was kind of off to the side so he might have just thought it was an American flag or something. The fan put him in a shitty situation by bringing the flag in to begin with. I doubt anybody who works for the team/arena knew he was going to do that.

Look again my friend there is a shock of hair like Trumps forehead wave. Naudie doesn't have that shock of hair on his costume that I have ever seen. It wasn't just a blazer either he was wearing a suit. Valentine's day or not he was dressed with the shock of hair and all like the Donald.

It looks like the same hair to me as he has in the photo provided and I’ll add some more.

He’s also wearing a blazer with a Utica jersey under it and dress pants.

I think it’s a stretch to say either of those things must be Trump related.

Rochester Americans @ Utica Comets

Forwards:
48 Middendorf/ 26 Schmelzer/ 24 Halonen
20 Willman/ 10 Dowling/ 67 Parent
15 Gambardella/ 51 Criscuolo/ 92 Clarke
79 Laberge/ 17 Stevens/ 61 Stillman

D-Pairs:
83 Vilen/ 5 Russo
3 MacKinnon/ 23 Wotherspoon
2 Vukojevic/ 22 Felix

Goal - 1 Poulter (23:42 4GA/15 SOG) / 31 Kallgren (35:52 2GA/10SOG)

Scratches:
Fitzgerald (H)
Ibragimov (H)
Engaras (Inj)
Misyul (Inj)
Durandeau (WTF?)
14 Bowers (out for the season or so it's been posted) I won't list him anymore until confirmed.

Final Score
Rochester 6 Utica 2

Scoring:
MacKinnon (2) from Wotherspoon (13) and Middendorf (2)
Parent (10) from Criscuolo (17) and Gambardella (16)

Poulter had 1 of those games every goalie has. He was abandoned on 2 of the goals as his D were walked like pylons but he didn't help himself. 1 was a real bad screen that somehow found it's way in. Overall he wasn't sharp. Can only hope it was just one of those nights and it will be different the next time out. Goalies have to have extremely short memories and move on.

Kallgren's effort was less than stellar. 1st SOG went in. He made a good stop off a breakaway. Otherwise his saves were nothing to write home about.

Clarke was particularly irritating having 3 scoring chances from very short distances and missing the net on all 3 chances. Then coming to the the net lightly cross checking his shield. Yeah, you're frustrated. Just hit the F**King net.

The Comets played like ass. There's no more to say.

Last I'll say. Look at the video. The forehead shock of hair is not one of the 2 rectangular Mohawk nubs he has on top of his headpiece.

He also sees perfectly well through his headpiece. He saw the flag before he grabbed it and helped with the display. Come on.

Poulter knew the signing was going to be announced. I'm going with he was nervous. I'm so happy for him. What a great day and well deserved.

I honestly think it is more likely the camera angle in that video is making it appear different. Naudie walked past me a couple of times delivering roses and outside of the blue blazer and pants the costume looked unchanged. Other than pass out some flowers and help hold up a Trump flag he didn't do much at all and was a big drop-off from the usual shenanigans the original Naudie entertained us with.

I've been blowing this kid's horn for 2 seasons.

It's unfortunate he had to have the night he had on the eve of the biggest moment of his career.
Nerves about today? Most likely.

I would think, at least until someone comes back from NJ, this seals the deal making him the #1 in town. Dineen now has to treat him like every other NJ prospect he has on his roster and play him a lot. When the next guy comes down he can't treat Isaac as the ugly duckling.

e.g.
Schmid 12 starts 3-5-4
Poulter 7 starts 7-0 with 2 shutouts

Goalie stats for the season:
Daws 3GP 2.39 GAA / .929 SV% (1-2)
Poulter (Now including last night) 23GP 2.68 GAA / .909 SV% (14-6-1)
Schmid 12GP 3.58 GAA / .885 SV% (3-5-4)
Kallgren 11GP 4.14 GAA / .851 SV% (1-5-2)

Brodeur 1GP in relief 2.26 GAA / .909 SV% (no record)

Whatever. It's water over the dam.

Let's keep this on hockey, food, music, and nostalgia, LOL

Hopefully Poulter gets a call up and a game in NJ before the end of the season. It would be great if NJ could have a playoff spot entrenched with a couple of games left and seeding locked in so they can rest some guys as needed and get in a couple of games for some prospects and Poulter deserves one.
