How many games do you need to show that you can win board fights? Or not get beaten everytime to loose pucks on the boards? We're not even talking about assists, let alone goals. PLD is getting ripped apart for the same amount of effort, he's ok cause he's getting paid 8x more than Kaliyev?
you're literally not watching the game if you're choosing last game and this game to start shit talking kaliyev

there's no other explanation

PLD has been night and day since the coaching change and most people here have commented on it, and yeah what he makes and how well Vilardi has done on the Jets has given him some extra criticism but honestly it was deserved before.

On Kaliyev he struggled getting moved down lines while trying to be pushed as a grinder which isn't what his skillset provides. Think it messed with his confidence but you gotta admit he's looked better the past couple games. Just have to hope he keeps improving, cause we really need him scoring if we hope to do anything in the playoffs...if we make it in lol

Kaliyev deserves some time to decompress after having a smelly Koala butt on his face all this time. Let him play some top 6 cant be any worse than having Laf there... if he doesnt produce in 10 games then you can make that assessment and possibly move him.. but we dont know what he is after being under the stewardship of that prison warden.

The Kings are going to play more run and gun. I don't see why people are jumping to conclusions about what someone's doing now when after ten games of the players playing like this we'll have the full picture. It's simple for me though. The way the team is going to play now, you absolutely have to produce.

JAD's upside is a quality middle forward.

But he's needs to go somewhere where they can give him stable time in the NHL to adjust. He was a 2nd round pick for a reason.
Exactly.. he had good season in 21-22 in Ontario like .8 pts a game. But we do not need to develop a middle 6 fwd., we have plenty. So he is not a 4th liner by nature. He doesnt bring anything that you would want on a 4th line. Therefore, JAD is superfluous and only useful as a temporary replacement role.

Agreed. I think Kaliyev is a weapon you have to use properly. He's is not a well rounded guy but has enough tools to be effective as a scorer - and for sure on the PP. But thats not a guy that fits into what the Kings are - which is a systems team.

Ok, one comment about Kaliyev and this is something that applies to any young player we have. When you're struggling to get quality ice time, when the coaching staff and org seems to not want to give you ice time, when there's players you can pass to, you cannot lose the puck before the red line. He did it a second time after gaining the red line but the first one stood out more.
