If you like hockey, you did, if you want the Kings go to 82-0, it would make you piss in your cereals, came out like gangbusters, five solid quality chances, didn't convert, game goes back and forth, Kings still looking good...Caps tie it up 2-2, and you can physically feel the Kings change.....they grip their sticks too tight etc, the tying goal, yea Talbot wants that back, but holy f*** what a deceptive release, as a goaltender, that's hard as hell to stop and he placed it perfectly, it's one you ALWAYS want back, but you look at it and go...awww f***.....as it goes past you...the GWG, bounced off Danault, I believe, if you are gonna block a shot, block a shot, don't half ass it there.....
If morale victories were goals, the Kings would be undefeated. I'd be less inclined to complain about their performance if it wasn't becoming the norm the last month.

I guess the bigger question is how does Tim from Orange County feel?
i didnt get this meme until i listened to the Jesse show yest .. that is so parent's basement to call out RacJeez by name.

Let’s just hope this is the low point of the season and we get it out-of-the-way noW.

That’s all I can say as I don’t have a whole lot of nice things to say.
I can tell you were raised well.. some of us cant hold it back

The way they have been losing is usually the beginning of the end for the coach. They arent losing and playing horribly. Really just beating themselves besides the Toronto game where they didnt show up until the third.
I cant see them turning it around at this rate because its nothing they can work on. Its between the ears right now and whatever Todd is saying to them aint working.
Hes gonna be gone soon.

4 wins in 13 games.

I haven't been able to watch games recently, but on the radio it sounded like LA played decent.

It definitely felt like one of those extra frustrating losing streak type of games.

I suspect we'll rebound from this to a degree. Kings ideally need to get their P% to around .665+. Right now they're at .639.

And again, who said that? Might wanna reread what I said there so you can get it right

You really wanted to pair Clarke with Englund? Really??
Personally I wouldve made Roy Gav the top pair, 2nd pair Clarke with Anderson, 3rd pair Englund Spence.. DD needs some rest

You might have, but there's not a pro coach alive that would sit Doughty barring an absolute 100% injury....
Well im only disrupting 1 pair this way.. i think giving him a day off vs 3rd pair is easier to swallow.. but honestly DD 27 minutes a game is hurting him and the team.

So the Kings still suck. What a shock. What a pathetic team honestly.

Gentle reminder that the only offense in the league worse than Washington is San Jose

officially on the same points pace as last season and trending down

Guess we should have seen this coming

Hey Brandt Clarke, thanks for being here

Fewest minutes amongst dmen despite being '2nd' pairing with Gavrikov
2nd worst zone starts amongst D, no one else started in the ozone less
multiple times he started a shift vs. washington's top line partnered with Englund and our 4th line
drew a penalty, didn't start the powerplay

Kind of goes hand in hand with last year when he was our best dman outside doughty so they decided to move him to the left side and when he couldn't save us from there they sent him to the AHL to NOT PLAY for a month before world juniors

4d chess as always, just keep f***ing with kids

just dont even call him up if you're going to do stupid self-sabotaging shit

The Kings are like a plane that has stalled the wing, are at 30,000 ft due their nice start.. so arent close to death. But they are in free fall and Todd is tweaking the ailerons f***ing with the flaps, flapping the rudder.. when all he needs to do is simply push the nose down. The false reality is relying so much on 8 and 11 and continually living in this pretend world.

Hopefully this is just a midseason lull. Kind of like a middle aged crisis.

I have a different take here. The good Cup winner version of Kuemper made some huge saves early. Cam is definitely showing some fatigue(1st and 3rd goals, as I have seen him sharper on both type of shots). For a $1 million salary cap hit, he's been a big steal. Problem is he's age 36 and can't be a 50 - 60 starts #1 goalie any more. Copley was perceived to play his fair share, but he's out the rest of the season. Rittich has looked solid but really hasn't faced some serious competition as of yet. They might have to play Rittich more and also look to acquire a goalie. Cam is gonna get burned out, as it's only a matter of time before he wares down at the rate they are playing him. When your combined salary cap hit of 3 goalies(Talbot, Copley and Rittich) is only $3.375 million, that should tell you the team doesn't invest enough on goaltending. Your #1 alone should be making somewhere in the $3 - 5 million per year range.

Agree with everything but: Clarke didn't start the PP after the penalty because he spent his shift drawing it. Pretty normal to go with the rested unit first, and he got an extended PP look soon after

Fun game to attend. Lots of chances, good flow for the most part. It’s not often you see a game with 75 shots on goal. Kuemper played well on a busy night. Talbot on the other hand did not. You can tell immediately after goal 3 he knew he should have gotten a piece of that. Tack on the epic fail of a give-away by Dubois and the Kings beat themselves, really.

I was really hoping for OT. Would have made it worth every penny.

You know I told myself after the Kings won two Cups that everything else now is just a bonus. But it just doesn’t work that way when you are a die hard fan. I hope we are wrong and this is just a bump in the road. However, this team as currently assembled just doesn’t seem to have what it takes to make a deep playoff run. I think we all knew what we had in 2012 and 2014 as far as a great mix of skill, leadership and guys who would go to war for each other.

How much better do you think we would be this year with Vilardi and Iafallo instead of Dubois?

What a gut punch of a game. Such a winnable one too. At least 5 grade A chances missed, Doughty into the pad with the entire net open was the worst. Turnovers killed them again...PLD...what were you thinkiing!? Losing that late is awful.

Well, we'd still won't have a 3rd line center. Byfield isn't ready, and Gabe can't play it. A redundant streaking winger, who has 5 points since Nov. and a really good winger who is prone to injury. that's if they could've signed him to the bridge deal he wasn't looking for. Probably about the same . Might have the same cap issues too with Valardi looking for a healthy raise.
