Sure is great that the Kings have a stocked cupboard of high end, high talent prospects to fix this. Oh, right.

Well at least they have depth at center and don't have to worry about that. Oh, right

Sure am glad Kopitar can retire a King after this season and the Kings can stop relying on an aging underperforming core. Oh, right.

At least this is the final year of Todd's contract. Oh, right.

Talbot running out of gas might be all it takes for the whole house of cards to crumble
This is why the beginning of the year surge was so surprising. Guys were playing out of their minds, but the usual suspects assured us this wasn't a statistical anomoly and that no regression would occur when we didn't believe it would last.

That's not to say guys can't turn it back on again, but this is the team I think most of us expected. Trevor Moore's already tied his career high in goals, Byfield's already surpassed his career high in goals and assists, Talbot at 36 years is riding his second-best save percentage and goals against average of his career. The odds were against these career-high paces lasting the entire season.

With that said, it also means that a guy like Dubois who is on pace for a career-worst year should improve, but I really haven't seen a lot out of him yet. Is this a Huberdeau situation? By the way, Huberdeau has outscored Dubois this year.

This isn't exactly the company you'd like to be keeping if you're our huge summer acquisition.

0-4 now facing former Kings goalies...they stink @ home...TMac is clueless, as he doesn't adjust well to facing adversity...Blake's giant blunder trading for PLD, when goaltending was the biggest concern coming into this season...Cam Talbot has been better than expected, but he's age 36 and Rittich has held up backing up so far, but the King's needed a #1 goalie and still don't have it. Kings lost today because they were outworked/outscored at even strength 4-1. Playoffs are a good deal about how strong you play at even strength. Special teams was good today by the numbers, but the PP still lingers. 1 PP was a fluke bounce off the Caps d-man and the other one was a poor turnover in which the Caps had possession of the puck.

At some point that would have been funny
Now it's just reality

The reality is the Kings make up just isn't built to win. The Kings don't have the skill to win consistently and are nowhere near physical enough to win consistently. This team doesn't forecheck at all, they don't hit anybody, they rely on their 1-3-1 but teaams are flying by them untouched and gettint to the Kings net way to easy. It is time the Kings bring in a true and tried GM that will build a team that is hard to play against and is strong at the forecheck.

Its great to have high end prospects and another thing to develop them properly...Blake doesn't a f***ing clue but he does know how to give away Draft choices for nothing...What a Maroon

They had one in Michael Futa but he got tired of the SHit-Show that became the LA Kings

Oh darn! Sounds like I missed a good one.

:sarcasm:

If you like hockey, you did, if you want the Kings go to 82-0, it would make you piss in your cereals, came out like gangbusters, five solid quality chances, didn't convert, game goes back and forth, Kings still looking good...Caps tie it up 2-2, and you can physically feel the Kings change.....they grip their sticks too tight etc, the tying goal, yea Talbot wants that back, but holy f*** what a deceptive release, as a goaltender, that's hard as hell to stop and he placed it perfectly, it's one you ALWAYS want back, but you look at it and go...awww f***.....as it goes past you...the GWG, bounced off Danault, I believe, if you are gonna block a shot, block a shot, don't half ass it there.....

If we're going to lose to the Washington Capitals in the year 2024 I want Ovechkin scoring at least 2 goals ... anddd he had none.

L game

I'd like to know in what Alternate Evil Spock Universe is Cam Talbot an All-Star?
The same hell where he goes to the game, hurts himself, and then the kings are riding a 23 year old first year pro and a 31 year old third string backup goalie into the black hole. Then management gets to say injuries ruined the season and everyone gets their contracts extended.
