This will be interesting for the next game vs the Caps. Chucky Sideburns, who stonewalled the Kings in that 2-1 loss game is out with an injury, so former Kings goalie Darcy Kuemper will most likely start against the Kings. Former Kings goalies are 2-0 vs the Kings this season(Quick, Jones). Will it be 3-0 or did I just break the curse?!
Thank you for correcting me. So we are already 0-3 against former goalies, with the chance to make that 0-4 against the Caps if they play against Darcy Kuemper.Did you forget about Cal Petersen beating us in November? 35 saves on 37 shots, and Sean Walker had two assists.
So this is the guy they'll sit for Clarke on Sunday?

Sit Englund?! You do that and then the Kings D group becomes softer. Englund will throw a big hit or drop the gloves. You think DD, Andersen, Roy and Spence will do that? Gavrikov plays good D and throws the big hit, but he doesn't fight. Englund is the guy that will get in a fight to protect his teammates. You want someone else defending themselves and ending up 5 mins in the box hurting the team? Englund played only 12:30 TOI, but wasn't that more to do with TMac was trying to get more offense from his D group when they were down 3-2, as he trimmed to playing only 3 lines in the 3rd?Was at the game, saw the old spice guy in the stands, didn’t know he was a Kings fan.
New PLD line looks great. Kopi looked old and Moore is not a good fit on that line. On the other hand, Kaliyev with a huge bounce back game and looked great on the fourth line. He had about 4-5 good looks and even created a few completely by himself.
Detroit got some huge saves when it could’ve easily been 4-0. PP let us down once again. Clarke could’ve made a difference tonight. Gavrikov is a godsend with his stick work and gap control. Mikey with a tough game. Found a way to lose another game in which they were up 2.
Sit Englund, if someone has to play on their off side, so be it.
Dejardin was awful. It won't be Bylsma, but at least he coached a talented team to playoff success!it better not be Bylsma. He's willie D 2.0 . Don't care what his resume says.
Here's the problem, fixing PP1 requires two things, a right shot goal scorer and replacing Doughty with someone who can generate offense. Arvidsson won't be back for at least another month (and likely will be gone in the offseason), and Doughty is cemented on PP1 by legacy. The PP looks weird, I think it's the main issue to fix.
Last year the power play was really good at using all stations on the ice to create scoring chances, especially using the players down low. Now most of the puck touches seem to be coming from the dots or higher, making it way too easy to defend. It's incredibly stagnant, and I don't know why they insist on limiting options and looks the way they're doing it.Here's the problem, fixing PP1 requires two things, a right shot goal scorer and replacing Doughty with someone who can generate offense. To have Kopitar and DD on PP1 looks weird, stupid and outdated. The PP looks weird, I think it's the main issue to fix.
I wish he was on the clock. But i don't think they are changing anything in season.whats that smell? ans: burnt koala fur... this dudes on the clock.. lets see who has the reigns come Feb 1 after this slew of games.. id put money Blake having some private conversations these days
Why is Byfield never in the OT?
