AHL level goaltending is a problem no matter which way you slice it.

Other than the boneheaded turnovers from Fiala, this actually isn’t a bad period of hockey from the Kings.
The Danault line, the Lizotte line, Byfield and Laferriere have all played well so far.

Kings needed C/LD/G. It makes sense to allocate resources to the former two given the situation.
Agreed. Plus coming off of everybody watch Vegas get it done with Hill in net. Talbot/Copley is big risk/reward scenario, but with limited resources and the other moves we made it makes sense that this is the bet we're taking rather than question marks at LD/C

I flashback to the offseason the Kings signed Kovalchuk. At the draft party, Blake said with a straight face that he believes that the Kings were competitive and they got Kovalchuk to shoot on the power play a la Ovechkin. Then proceeded to rarely playing him at that spot on the PP.

LOL.

Doughty needed that, but even on the goal that looked so sloppy. Did Fiala's dog die or something? Their minds are in f***ing Tahiti right now.

The embolden is not true, and it's been their biggest problem in each of the last two playoffs.
The Kings had and have Vilardi, Byfield, Kopitar, and Danault. Their biggest problem in the playoffs had been that they were bleeding goals against the oilers. Those centers are all NHL caliber. This goaltending isn’t even NHL level. Why are you being so dishonest? You should know better.

Yeah, I’d agree with that assessment.

Mikey Anderson seems to have shaken off his funk he carried in game 1 as well.

Are you comparing adin hill, arguably at worst a mediocre NHL goalie, to the Kings who don’t have NHL goaltending at all? Wtf.

False. Biggest problem the last two playoffs was the dipshit coach.
Exactly, choosing to sit in a 1-3-1, allowing zero resistance into your own zone while the Oilers just pound shots and dominate zone time is why the Oilers destroy the Kings in the playoffs, and that's a coaching decision
