Bruins Interested in Ducks Veteran Center
The Boston Bruins are preparing for what should be an eventful 2024 NHL Trade Deadline for them. Their latest loss to the Edmonton Oilers, which saw them blow another lead late, is only another example of why they should be making additions to their roster leading up to Friday.
As we approach deadline day, the Bruins appear to be in the mix for one of the NHL's top trade targets.
According to Pierre LeBrun, the Bruins are among the many clubs that have "checked in on" Anaheim Ducks forward Adam Henrique. LeBrun also listed the Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, and Vegas Golden Knights as current suitors for the veteran.
With the Bruins needing help down the middle, it is not surprising that Henrique is on their radar. He would provide their middle six with a nice boost, as he offers strong secondary scoring and steady defensive play. He is also well-known for his leadership.
Another nice element about Henrique's game is that he can play on the wing. Because of this, he could fit virtually anywhere in Boston's top nine if acquired.
Henrique, 34, has appeared in 60 games this season for the Ducks, posting 18 goals and 42 points. Boston would benefit from adding that kind of offense to its lineup, but we will need to wait and see if they can land him.
