Capitals are supposedly signing Ethan Bear maybe they need to make room for him, don’t think they’re gonna move a defender though. Especially not TVR, Edmundson doesn’t make much sense either.

Did I not say Bear to the Caps?? Also did I not suggest they need to make room for him. Now if a defenseman is coming to the team why would you think that they would not need to move a defender? e.g. Would you pick up Bear and look at moving JVR?

Cus I think they’ll just send down the two kids they have up on defense and put Edmundson on the bench. He looks like the only expendable guy but has a 10 team NTC and basically just another slightly worse Forbort.

Other than Sandin they’re all locked up for 3 years, and they’d probably like to hang on to him.

Bringing in Bear to move on from TVR doesn’t really make sense, just voluntarily getting worse at that spot for not much of a cap savings.

8th over all in his draft class played the 5th most games in the class not bad for no hockey IQ. I believe too that defensemen take longer to mature. At 50% retain it would be an interesting pick up.

He’s pretty bad yea. All the physical attributes that continute to get him paid, 0 brains. Which is pretty important in bottom pair imo, typically look for someone who’s steady, good penalty killer, physical yes but defensively aware at the same time. Risto is a wild card in his own end.

Sweeney misses: Boqvist, Brown and Mitchell. Shattenkirk has been so-so. Good value: JVR, Heinen and Geekie.
Lauko - 19 games- 3 assists, Steen 14 games- 1 goal ( need to be better)
Grzelcyk- only 1 goal in 17 games. Not sure he brings much back in a trade.

Wilson as a Bruin I'd just be over the moon. He's the toughness I'd take. He just needs a new team I think. At the cap level in 2 years his contract would be fine with the output he'll have here.
