Chandler Stephenson of Vegas is another realistic target at center, not sure who is more preferable, him or Lindholm.
Why wouldn't the 15M plus Lysell/Merkulov work? Or the 15M plus a vet JVR type? Especially with the cap expected to grow again next summer...We don't really have the space to sign all 3 of Hanifin, Lindholm, and Debrusk. Like let's say they trade Ullmark without taking any salary back, sign Swayman at 7mil like has been reported, and sign Bussi to backup at like 800k. That leaves you with this:

If you account for one healthy scratch at both forward and defense both making 800k, that would leave us with a touch under 18mil to fill those 3 hole. Which seems like a lot until you realize that Hanifin and Lindholm are most likely gonna be making like 14 to 15mil combined. Just don't see a way where they end up being able to sign all 3.
Lindholm is the much better fit IMO. Better defensively, better at faceoffs, plays the bumper on the PP.Chandler Stephenson of Vegas is another realistic target at center, not sure who is more preferable, him or Lindholm.
It would work, I was just saying we don't have enough space to sign all 3 of Debrusk, Lindholm, and Hanifin. Why wouldn't the 15M plus Lysell/Merkulov work? Or the 15M plus a vet JVR type? Especially with the cap expected to grow again next summer...
Right my bad. Skipped ahead there.Lindholm is the much better fit IMO. Better defensively, better at faceoffs, plays the bumper on the PP.

How much to resign Heinen ?Ya not enough room for Lindholm, Hanifin and JD.
I think the obvious move is to let JD walk and give Lysell a shot. Resign Heinen who can fill in up there.
Not a fan of Maroon and Brazeau on the 4th line either. Way too slow
Yeah I would go with Boquist and bump one of those two or Lauko to 13th forward. Not a fan of Maroon and Brazeau on the 4th line either. Way too slow
It might be worth looking at FA too like one of Duhaime/Trenin assuming Colorado doesn’t sign both. Duhaime has a serious motor I really like his gameYeah I would go with Boquist and bump one of those two or Lauko to 13th forward.

Do you think it's going to cost $3 M ?Really, do you think he is going to play for less than a million next contract ? Every time he has a good season he declines the next. I also might add that you are probably one of the many yelling about playing the kids, do you want to take ice time away from Beecher ,Frederic, Boqvist, Geekie, and others that might rise up to the big time. The Bruins are going to have cap space next year to fill other needs other then what Heinen fills, who they have players that can do what he does. Heinen's first go round in this town I honestly thought he was going to be a big player for the Bruins, I do not feel that way now, move on from him.
Stephenson is a pretty bad defensive player that the Knights protect by playing Stone on his wing. Good player, but I'm just not sure he's a guy you can have as Pasta's center and I think that needs to be the goal of any center we potentially acquire this offseason.I'm fine with either guy but I think Stepheson will get a more manageable contract while Lindholm is going to get more based on his work from the 2018-2022 seasons. IMO, Stephenson has been on par if not better than Lindholm the past two seasons.
I will say the price on Lindholm is probably falling to the point where it’s a lot less of a risk
7 points in 19 games with a minus 5. And that’s probably generous based on how Canucks fans feel about him.Has he been that bad in Van? I watch Nucks games whenever they play against a good team, but admittedly didn't notice him very much. I guess that's indicative of his fit/play over there?

The Canucks fans in one of my chats - who are as sane as Canucks fans can be - have been completely underwhelmed with him and wanted them to flip him at the deadline.I got curious and just paid a visit to the Nucks board and read their thread on it. Looks like a lot of "lack of compete" comments with underwhelming production. Solid positionally and at the dot, but a bit invisible.
I'll take it with a grain of salt because I know how HFboards can be, but definitely not looking good if the ask is $7M with term
I truly wonder what he's going to get. Not a lot of options out there. But he hasn't looked much better than a run-of-the-mill 2nd line C for the last two seasons. The Canucks fans in one of my chats - who are as sane as Canucks fans can be - have been completely underwhelmed with him and wanted them to flip him at the deadline.
Was hoping they'd nab Duhaime at the deadlineIt might be worth looking at FA too like one of Duhaime/Trenin assuming Colorado doesn’t sign both. Duhaime has a serious motor I really like his game
Bruins are going to trade Ullmark consensus opinions and free up some more cash.Ya not enough room for Lindholm, Hanifin and JD.
