I dont think Im a fan of the assistant coaching staff on the NHL roster. when Derek king was the AHL coach did we see any real growth from the players. I feel like the new coach is way better. Vlasic Del mastro reichel was really good in the AHL. Dach when he is healthy really grew. isaiak philips.

who got better in the AHL when king was the coach?
Hagel and kurashev were the best young players of his main like 19-20 season. Then that's when in the bubble people bemoaned Kurashev should of played in the Hawks playoffs, but really Hagel was better all year anyway if anyone should of gotten the call go.

Hopefully Dach, Gust and Sanford can all get there and no more injuries. Could be a competitive team if they can get to third.

Kaiser with 3 goals and 6 assists in the last 12 Hogs games. Can any regular viewers of Rockford provide some feedback on his play of late?
He’s much more comfortable back there now then when he first got sent down. Getting some power play time also. Team is scoring more over the last few games which helps.

That is the best thing for him, to play in Rockford and be a stud vs playing in Chicago and getting picked apart. Smart development move. Keep him there for another year

I saw Nolan Allan scored another goal. How has he been playing? I would love to be able to watch the IceHogs more.

I wonder if he might be a trade chip. we are loaded on the LD and it seems as if KD wants size so he probably falls behind vlasic, KK, philips, EDL and allen all of which are 6-2 or bigger. if you left players go to long in the AHL they tend to lose value.

Allan may turn out to be best of bunch. If I'm not mistaken he does/can play right D.

Kaiser has worked his way up into the role of the IceHogs’ No. 1 defenseman. He’s leading the team in ice time, playing in all situations and impacting the game in a variety of ways. Just this past weekend, the IceHogs won Friday and Saturday with Kaiser contributing a goal, two assists and six shots on net and Rockford outscored its opponents 4-0 with Kaiser on the ice in five-on-five play. He played about 25 minutes both games, too.

How has Reichel looked first few games down? Great to hear on Kaiser but does worry me a bit if Del Mastro is not the defacto number 1.

Kaiser arguably Hawks best D for latter part of last season. I had high hopes for this season. This kids has the goods and brains to play NHL D.

Why would that worry you? Kaiser is older and better experienced with being in a stronger development college league and starting in the pros last year.

I like Kaiser, but always was concerned if he had enough offense besides being a great skater. Thought he for sure should of began in Rockford this year anyway.

Pretty good, first game was a bit rough but last three he's looked more confident and showing off his speed and skill a lot more. Hopefully he has a 3 point game or something soon to really get himself going. Currently 0 goals and 2 assists in 4 games.

I guess not worry.

Hes 6 months older. Was hoping Del Mastro was going to assume that role right away and would be NHL ready next year.
