Prospect Info: 2023-24 Prospect Info (CHL, NCAA, Europe)

This is my king of the crop, but there is a chance he stays for another season: J.J. Wiebusch - Stats, Contract, Salary & More

King is okay, projects to a bottom 6 character player with not a lot of outstanding attributes. Could be LOC 2.0, but good chance he doesn't become anything amazing.

Here are others to watch for:

Matt Davis, G (best goaler of UFA class)
Boston Buckberger, D (big fan of him)
Liam McLinskey, C
T.J. Hughes, C (another one of my favs)
Joshua Eernisse, C/W (has the ability to be LOC 2.0)
John Prokop, D
Gleb Veremyev, C
Ryan Kirwan, LW
Riley Thompson, C
Viking Gustafsson Nyberg, D
Albin Boija, G
Kaidan Mbereko, G
Dalton Bancroft, RW (I am listing this guy because he plays at Cornell and Avs have signed/traded for players from them)
Got to think Davis and Buckberger are high possibilities to be signed.

Both of them were invited to rookie camp last summer, so that would seem to indicate that both are on the Avs radar, at the very least. For them, if they got a good impression of the Avs org during those camps, that could give us a leg up this spring. Davis in particular is going to be highly sought after.

I think the Avs are going to be pretty aggressive with college and Euro UFAs in the next few years. We don't have a pick in the top 3 rounds this year or next, and our already shallow prospect pool has lost Ritchie, Kovalenko, and Zellers so far this year. The Avs should be stocking up on every lottery ticket player with years of development already under their belt they can get.
