PREDICTION: Marie-Philip Poulin will be robbed by the swell of sympathy surrounding Natalie Spooner's playoff injury, with the cover story by voters pointing to Spooner's 20-goal season.

That's not that wild - Spooner not only led the league with 20 goals, but that was nearly 50% more than the runner ups (11 goals), and she led the league in points, too, the only player to be over a PPG.

I'm not saying Poulin doesn't deserve it either, but I'm not sure what more Spooner could've done to lock it in

Toronto fans had to carry the tune early for the Star Spangled Banner before Game 5, when the designated anthem singer had mic problems. Stick taps to them for giving it a group try, but that's an anthem better left to those with a LOT more practice at the awkward lyrics & melody.
