Game 3 of the Montreal-Boston semifinals series, Montreal leads 1-0 at the end of one period. The desperate visitors have been working hard since the opening puck drop in Lowell, and their efforts were rewarded when Mikyla Grant-Mentis behind the net found captain Marie-Philip Poulin unmarked in the slot & beat the off-balance BOS goalie Aerin Frankel to take the early lead.

MTL's Maureen Murphy added to her team's lead on a power play in the second half of the middle period. Poulin registered her second point of the night with an assist on the (wo)man advantage. Now end of two, 2-0.

Boston's Amanda Pelkey contributes 2 points in the 3rd period, with her shorthanded tally tying the game 2-2 in the closing minutes of the 3rd. Sophie Shirley scored the first goal for BOS to start the home side comeback, and Game 3 has become yet another OT affair.

Just 62 seconds into the extra session Susanna Tapani buried her second OT game winner, this one on a rebound of an Alina Müller shot to give Team Boston the series sweep with a 3-2 vctory . Boston's ticket is punched to the Walter Cup Finals.
