I'm not sure Lundy will be back by Christmas. I thought Lundy's projection return was around February. I'd be ecstatic if he did return by Christmas, but kinda doubtful.

I think it was around Jan, but yeah for Lundy it’s wishful thinking, if he gets back before Christmas.

Some inuury updates. If Drysdale is really out for a few more months, idk what to think. I don't see him ever becoming an impact player for us or returning much in the trade. Super frustrating, I'm sure he's frustrated as well

So Zegras probably back this month. Drysdale still months off is really concerning. McTavish still in purgatory.

What lower body injury could it be that he's able to skate in full gear but might still be a few months out? I'm skeptical he'll be out that long. The article sounded speculative.

that feels a little overly negative to me. Drysdale looked pretty damn good when he did play. But yes he will need to stay healthy. Hopefully he can put it behind him.
I don't disagree that he looked good when he did play, although I feel like "looking good" was more potential than it was actual impact on the ice.

But he's staring down potentially two straight missed seasons in his age 20 and 21 years. That's brutal for development. And it doesn't bode well for his future injury risk.

Maybe i'm a little optimistic but both of his injuries were at least directly traceable to something.

I once thought there could be a lot of offensive upside to his game, but no longer am sold on that necessarily. but I think he still can be a very important player for the team and likely will. He'll just need to prove he can stay healthy which I think he can at this point.

"While no specific return date has been specified, the Ducks remain optimistic about Trevor Zegras making a comeback from his groin injury within the next few weeks, aligning with the timeline previously mentioned."

The team has never given a timeline on Z nor said what the injury is. This article seems a bit sketchy to me.

I thought the same things when I read it.

What "previously mentioned timeline" are they referring to? Is this in an alternate universe where the Ducks tell fans about their players' injuries?

Unlike Trevor, the 6th overall pick from the 2020 draft, a return in the month of December seems highly unlikely for Drysdale, and really, there’s still an abundance of uncertainty as to whether his return will even happen within the next few months, it all depends on how his recovery goes.
Here I was thinking they were basing his return on the alignment of the stars.

There is no way this article offers any kind of inside scoop about the players' return. As with everything in my life, if Derek Lee hasn't tweeted it, it's fake.

Any orthos here? What LBI would go from day to day to months, almost the whole season, without some kind of surgery involved? A torn muscle? Or ligament that can't be surgically repaired?

A soft tissue injury that they’re trying to get to heal without surgery. Torn groin, hernia, etc. You have to get it to 100% or it’ll just get worse and then absolutely need surgery.

Thats not really any insight from me though, that’s just a reality of how muscles heal. Could be a bunch of other stuff they just aren’t giving us info on.
