Official North Division Playoffs are as follows:

1-Adirondack v 4 Maine will be a 2-3-2 starting Friday in ADK..... Cross will have 3-4 AND potentially 5 on the 26th through the 28th;

2-T-R VS 3 Norfolk will be a 3-4 alignment due TO VI Tattoo.... w/ a WED/FRI/SAT split at T-R;

To help out those of you who cannot read HUTCH Shorthand, I'm posting the full schedule of the ECHL Kelly Cup division semifinals round which starts tonight. ETA: OOPS, my bad, Round 1 starts Wednesday night 4/17. Calendar days lose much of their meaning when you're retired.

Not to be upstaged by the usual NBA playoff scheduling complications in Orlando, Wheeling bring along their own plot twist to Round 1 with an "If Necessary" Game 5 vs. Indy scheduled for play in Cranberry Township, PA. Just a little something to distract Nailers fans from last Friday's home game cancellation ... "The game originally scheduled for Friday, April 12th between the Wheeling Nailers and Toledo Walleye (was) canceled, due to all playoff spots and seedings being solidified. ..."

... All series in the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs are best-of-seven series.

After Norfolk scored an ENG to extend their lead to 3-1 @ TR with 55 seconds to go, the Lions' players AND fans frustration boiled over. Long delay, followed by another extra skater that helped the Lions make it 3-2 with 22 seconds left. Then the Ads scored a second empty netter.

Final score: NOR 4 - TR 2. Norfolk is victorious in their first post-season game in 10 years. Bad feelings continued as the game wrapped up, and will undoubtedly be carried to Game #2.

Looks like a good Friday night first round playoff game turnout @ Indiana Farmers Coliseum. A sense of early nostalgia among Fuel fans for their soon-to-be-former home ice? Nice of Wheeling to support the home crowd by delaying their first SOG until the 14th minute of the game.

KC'S announcer forgot to turn his mic off; Mavericks send Oilers to golf season 2-1

S/T to the regular season champions Kansas City Mavericks for their 4-game sweep of the Tulsa Oilers in their Mountain Division Semifinals series. All four games were each close contests on the scoreboard, including the series-clinching 2-1 victory on Monday night @ the BOK Center with both Mavericks' goals scored by rookie forward Cade Borchardt.

The Mavs now await the winner of the other Mountain Division semis series between the Idaho Steelheads & Allen Americans, which just started on Monday night (a 6-5 win in early OT for ID at home). Meanwhile, it'll be home cookin' & home ice practices for the #1 Mountain seed.
