This Division Semifinals schedule & game results post has been updated prior to Saturday night's action. For those among us with attention deficits, here's the short version: Norfolk, JAX and Wheeling can all win their series tonight, while the rest will continue no matter Saturday's outcomes (short of an unforeseen catastrophe).

In the late South Division Semis game on Sat night, the Swamp Rabbits hold on after leading 5-1 in the 3rd to defeat their hosts OSB and tie the series 2-2.

The teams faced off 9 times in the '22-'23 regular season, and another 8 times during the '23-'24 regular season. Methinks their "instant rivalry" predates this playoff series.
you have to remember though, how much of that was clouded by DSE until Spire stepped in to solidify that market
Montreal shared affiliations w/ Boston in Portland before T/R was even awarded a franchise....

I can't tell you how many fans and even players said they wouldn't consider it a rivalry until that issue was cleared up. Amazing.

And in the nightcap, Orlando overcomes a 3-goal deficit in the 3rd period & defeats Greenville 6-5 early in OT. Bears lead the series 3-2, headed back to the Up Country.
