B-Sens 2023-24 Belleville Senators

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Given how much has been said on here about Belleville not having any depth & not being a very good team, they seem to be doing remarkably well this yr & like Ott seem to be surging at the right time of yr. I hope both make the playoffs it would be great for the org & franchise in both cities.

Well we are 6th in our division so I wouldn't say we sre doing remarkably well, but they are fighting for a playoff spot.

I think Mac should be a call-up once he feels comfortable. Big body who can skate, fight and adds more physical play on the 4th line? Sign me up.

Jenik makes me feel better about Ostapchuk leaving. If he can turn into a producer at the ahl level he can be a solid fourth line guy in the nhl.

Neeeeedd to replace gaudette next year

They key to replacing Highmore and Gaudette in our lineup is special teams.

Gaudette is much more replaceable on the PP, with Stutzle, Tkachuk, Batherson, Cozens, Giroux, Perron, Greig and Zetterlund clearly ahead of him at FWD and Sanderson/Chabot always manning the backend. He is pretty clearly the next man up, and I am not sure there's a comparable option, but I suspect we could get similar results from just riding the "hot hand".

Amadio seems like he could take on more of a PK role, but I am not sure they have anyone they feel really fits that role. Giroux, Greig, and Pinto are our three main guys, but Highmore has been used as the next forward up by a pretty large margin.

we could use all 3 in Ottawa.

2/3rds of a 4th line upgrade

At some point Highmore and Gaudette need to sit down

They needed to sit down yesterday. If the post deadline waiver rules didn’t change, then is it true that the player a Team A waives can be picked up by Team B but the player is ineligible to play for Team B in the playoffs?

Otherwise, the downside to waiving a Gaudette or Highmore is that they get picked up and the team loses depth of experienced NHL players.

Gaudette has been a valuable contributor early on and at minimum wage is still solid value as he can contribute offensively at times without hurting defence. Highmore “earned” more mileage with that save, created by his own turnover.

Ideally, I would have Jenik and Big Mac over Gaudette and No More Highmore. Don’t see Green tinkering the lines too much given their winning streak and the team’s solid overall play.

Kudos to the 3 Belleville stars for their recent performances.

Gaudette, Highmore and Hamonic are Green's secret children. They are here to stay.
