Dahlin already disputed the rumors but literally everything in the organization outside of Macklin should be on the table for him. He is a top 10 dman in the league and a legit 1D and is only 24.

“I have never said I want out of here,” Dahlin said. “I’m not happy (with) where we’re at. I don’t want to lose. We have to get better. I’ve never said I want out of here. I thought that was pretty clear.

“That bugs me, actually. I get [ticked] off by that. I haven’t even mentioned the word 'leave.' That’s just how it is.”
It's true, he never said "I want out of here" or mentioned the word "leave." He just said, "f*** this shit," but that leaves so much room for interpretation!

I, for one, am shocked that noted truth-teller "Biz-Nasty" made something up on air

He's not Dahlin but I wonder if we could pry Mason Marchment out of Dallas on the cheap. They have like 5M in cap space to re-sign Benn, Bourque and whoever they want to keep out of Granlund, Dadonov, Ceci, etc.
I would love him but they seem to love him even more in Dallas.

The question shouldn’t be whether he’s good now, because we know he is. The question should be will hell still be elite in 4-5 years because that’s essentially when we’ll be competing if we end up giving up what some people here think we should be.

He’s 24. For reference Mukhammadullin is 23 and we consider him a big part of our future. Like what even is this conversation

How about now?

Does that other poster still say he only gets secondary assists?
I don't think so, haven't seen it much this year outside of the joke posts about it, and a new nick name coming with his nhl time lol.

San jose is now 6 points back of Chicago, with Chicago having an extra game over us. So after thursday we can be 8 points back with only 15 games left in the season.

Sharks with only 12 regulation wins too, Hawks with 17. Sharks with the 7th most difficult schedule left, Hawks with the 22nd. Bring it home boys

Doesn’t sound like there is much substance to the trade rumors but If we finished second in the lottery, I’d offer Smith and a smaller + in a Dahlin trade and draft Misa to replace him as our 2C.

Conservative offseason plan that at least still makes it appear like we're trying to improve:

Trade:
-OTT 2nd for Mason Marchment (Dallas is in a cap crunch, we can either extend Marchment or recoup the pick at the deadline)
-EDM 1st and Bystedt for Maveric Lamoureux (Likely an overpay but need to give Utah a reason to move him, they get a big C prospect to replace Geekie and a trade chip to improve the NHL roster)

Sign (rounding up AFP's "worst tax state" projections):
-Dante Fabbro 3x4M
-Alex Iafallo 3x4M
-Nick Bjugstad 2x4.5M
-Alex Lyon 2x2M

Eklund-Celebrini-Toffoli
Marchment-Wennberg-Smith
Iafallo-Bjugstad-Graf
Goodrow-Ostapchuk-Dellandrea
Grundstrom

Ferraro-Fabbro
Mukhamadullin-Liljegren
Thrun-Desharnais
Vlasic

Askarov
Lyon

If my math is right this comes out to around 74M against a 70M floor factoring in the dead cap hits and Couture. Defense is still terrible and overall the roster is probably worse on paper than what we started with this season but hopefully Celebrini, Smith, Askarov, Mukhamadullin and Eklund will take steps forward and drive an improvement in the standings. If they don't we end up with one of the top 2026 prospects while still keeping most of our powder dry to take bigger swings next summer.
