G Lindgren 2 x 4mil
Re-sign:
Granlund 3x6mil
Ceci 3x3.5mil
Zetterlund 4x4.5 mil
Mukhamadullin 2x1.25mil
Trade:
Ferraro, Kovalenko & 7th round pick for Eeli Tolvanen & 3rd round pick (SEA)
Smith - Celebrini - Graf
Eklund - Bennett - Zetterlund
Tolvanen - Granlund - Toffoli
Goodrow - Wennberg - Dellandrea
Grundstrom
Walman - Pionk
Mukhamadullin - Ceci
Thrun/Vlasic/Cagnoni - Liljegren
Vlasic and Thrun fight for the 3LD spot, Cagnoni 3LD as a call up.
The cap space is fine by the time Celebrini/Smith/Eklund/Askarov need a new contract.
Ceci has indicated that he wants to stay, he is known asset and with Pionk as 1RD he can play at a better spot in 2RD. I believe Granlund may find a veteran role in SJ with young stars great at this point in his career and there is chemistry.
Pionk and Bennett both see potential in SJ with Celebrini/Askarov etc. Pionk wants a better weather and a top pair role, Bennett wants a better contract and Florida sees Lundell as the future 2C.
Both bring offence + physicality which we need.
I'm not quite sure if MG or people on HFBoards see Ferraro and Kovalenko as tradeable pieces.
I just really want to move on from Ferraro since I don't see him being a Stanley Cup caliber defencemen and we need to move towards that direction. I like Kovalenko, but I'm not sure where he fits on the future Sharks team.
The trade itself could be reverted and it would not change that much.
