Seems like CBus is accepting offers for Jiricek at this point.

I'm inclined to offer Mukhamadullin+ with the logjam in the pool at LD especially if we end up with Schaefer.

With the way both BDE and Cags are showing out, I think offering Muk might be our best chance at getting that premium RD from a position of strength.
Shakir is in his D+5 and can’t crack the defense of the worst team in the NHL. I don’t think he would or should be seen as much more than a throw in at this point.

they owe us a freebee if you really want one of them
1st round pick it is. '25 or '26 without protection.

Trouba (waiving for SJ) and 1st round pick for Ceci, Kostin (they can just waive Kostin) and 7th round pick

Kreider is going to be a harder piece, but I could see him going somewhere else.

I wouldn't waste a noxious bowel movement on that Trouba trade. He's not good, plays aggressively in an extremely stupid manner, and trading a high 1st for an aging, mediocre player whom I would hate watching is just anathema.

It was Trouba + NYR 1st round pick coming to SJ.

To be fair to Shakir, I think he was fully expected to play in the NHL this year until his injury and now they’re trying to gently ease him back. I do get what you’re saying re: trade value though.

I’d do a Musty for Jiricek trade.

I have a bad feeling about trading Musty. Just a feeling that he is going to rocket to the top of the league and become a 1st line forward if we trade him away. But then also, he is for sure going to bust if we keep him. #tealdilemma

Endowment effect!

Aside from Joshua Norris, Kiprusoff (not exactly a prospect when he was traded) was the last time I could remember this happening. Wishart, Mueller, Sadowy, etc. all crashed and burned. Edstrom is looking solid...

Fundamentally you have to trust the scouting and developmental staff. If they think Musty is the real deal, it'll be difficult to pry him from the Sharks's hands.

I would have a lot of time for Chris Kreider. Too bad there's no way he waives for us.
It would be very weird for the Rangers to trade Kreider. Ideally they would trade Trouba (seems unlikely until next offseason) and just name Kreider captain, as he should've been all along.

Yes, Kreider's line is struggling to some extent this year, but if anything they probably should've just fired Laviolette and hired Montgomery when they had the chance. For a team in their situation right now, it feels like the best thing they can do--at least until the deadline and they might have a bit more flexibility--is to find a way to get more out of the guys they currently have, like that Kreider line and especially their defense, which is more of a mess than it should be.

This might mean nothing

But if this means something. . .

Don’t really get wanting to trade Muhk before seeing him in the NHL this year. He got injured, not his fault, and he is one of our few legit defenseman prospects who can be a top 4. I’d much rather trade offense for Jiricek.

I thought the org + every other team passed on Buium because his defensive ability was very suspect
I thought it was because everybody was frustrated trying to remember what order all the u's and i's are supposed to be in. Sam and Dickinson is much easier to remember.
