I'm happy they don't have a lot of camp invites, needed some to fill out the forwards (with so many draft picks in college/KHL etc), but other than Avon, can't think of an invite who did much the last few years. Zamula back in 2018? Myers 2015? One every 3-4 years, so better to focus on quality than quantity.

More important for coaches to focus on the kids who'll be at training camp and then in LHV, especially the ones making the transition to the pro game. For the ones returning to the CHL, I think it's more about establishing a baseline to monitor their future development.

What is your opinion on Lappy running the show in LHV?

They had good assistants last year, a number of players progressed, the only players I could say "regressed" were maybe Hogberg and Wisdom, and the latter was probably more due to injury than anything else. Ginning was better at LHV than he was in the SHL, for example.

Michkov with 2 assists in his first game on loan with Sochi lol. Let him play with good players, he’ll get on the scoresheet. What an amazing concept.

That SKA coach is a real turd eh?

ya now Sochi is like 4th in their conference and SKA is outside the playoffs lol its only a 2 point difference right now but still funny as hell

So not giving anyone a chance was a mistake, then? Especially since Zamula, per you, was NHL level and apparently also improved. And yet Tortorella refused to use him.

Charlie was pumping up Samson by saying he scored at a similar rate as Sanheim in Junior.
Well, he did score at a ppg pace, which is pretty good for a d+2 d-man who's also a very late birthday and was originally projected as a defensive specialist.

He was a 6th rd pick, he's not as talented as Sanheim, but he's certainly performed above expectations.

PPG pace as a d+2 d-man is never good.

Several warnings on Lappy's presser. It's about work. He loves Ginning and Desnoyers just needs his man strength.

The most egregious thing the Flyers have done in the last 10 years has been this Lappy bullshit. This guy is a cromagnon dunce and has no business coaching professional hockey. At what point will this puckface be held accountable for awful results?

All HCs love players who work hard, those are the ones who tend to improve the most.

he spoke highly of brink.
They're frustrated with Brink's injuries, not Brink.

They know he has an exceptional skill package, skating is probably the only thing holding him back, he's not that "small," he's built up enough to hold his own in dirty areas. He just has to skate well enough to keep up, espeically on defense.
