The NBA approved Mark Cuban’s sale of a majority stake in the Dallas Mavericks to the family of Miriam Adelson, the controlling shareholder of Las Vegas Sands Corp.

The $3.5 billion deal won clearance Wednesday from the basketball league’s Board of Governors and is expected to close this week, according to a statement. Cuban will keep a minority stake.

The approval puts Adelson, the widow of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, and Las Vegas Sands a step closer to their goal of eventually building a casino and arena complex in Dallas. Sands has sought unsuccessfully for years to convince Texas to legalize casino gambling. The company specializes in large resorts that integrate hotels, casinos, convention space and entertainment.

Losing to the team with the active longest single season losing streak in nba history would be very on brand.

They are shooting 64% from 2 and 17% from 3 at the half. Can anyone guess what type of shot they have taken more than the other?

It is the color of the shoes. Derrick White wore red shoes in the first, and in the second half, he is wearing light blue.

Absolutely pathic. White did nothing to try for the rebound on Detriots last shot. He is not the blame for the tie; that is on all the Celtic's players and mostly the Coach Mazzulla. Jaylen Brown gets bragging rights. They could not win the game in regulation without him.

Celtic's defense horrible poor rebounding and interest, regardless of the winner.

If this is how they play without Brown against a team that has lost 27 in a row and has a 2-29 record imagine how they will play tomorrow against Raptors who are 12-18.

They need All-Star, money man, Jaylen Brown to be in the game to get them to play well and win in regulation.

They started attacking inside in the 2nd half instead of just chucking up threes and won the 2nd half and overtime by 25. Porzingis is a great addition, 29 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.6 blocks on 61/38/77 shooting the last three games.

It's amazing how they lose these big leads. 4th QTR misses by Holiday big, but in the end, it didn't matter. Brown had a big game after a day off. Derrick White is the man. Kornet had a big game.

Onto the Spurs on Sunday, New Year's Eve.

Basketball may be my 4th sport but my godfather (mom’s baby bro Neil Dooley) was drafted by Celtics out of Colgate so I’ve got basketball in my blood lol
