Might be Carolina also. Only two points separate the, and Carolina has a game in hand. There's big probability Wings could be 7th at East and 5th at Atlantic.
That would mean Metro playoffs against NYR.
Man idk about this one. Pit would trend that high right now? PHI and NYI i get, but Pit is pretty "far back" at this point to be above those two, no? Nothing is going to stop crosby from trying obviously. Why would they trade guentzel then if that is the rumors? If they want crosby back in the playoffs, I just don't see why they would sell at this deadline.

I would guess it's more based on remaining strength of schedule and less on how the teams are currently playing.Man idk about this one. Pit would trend that high right now? There are teams behind the Wings with games in hand that could very well change things. If they make the playoffs I rather see Boston. Wings have not played well against the Rangers so far this year.Detroit is getting closer and closer to having a death grip on WC2. I like Detroit's chances against NYR or BOS in a 7 game series.
I'm hoping they can make a trade for a mid-late 20s long-term addition to the team.
I could see the Pens making a run, as they have 4 games in hand. They do have a slightly higher strength of remaining schedule, though. Other than Pittsburgh I'm not sure any of the teams currently above 50 points can really challenge, unless Detroit falls apart. There are teams behind the Wings with games in hand that could very well change things. pit could slide in , also njdas far as Pittsburgh goes I really doubt that the Flyers are in the Playoff picture by the time the season ends(especially now with Hart gone) so that probably opens up a spot in the Metro
At the 50 game mark last year we were 22-20-8=52, this year 26-18-6= 58. This Western Canada road trip is crucial but in the next five games we play Vancouver twice, Edmonton, Calgary and Seattle we must get at least 6 points. Last year we beat Vancouver twice 5-2 and 6-1. I cannot see us duplicating that.Definitely want the metro to continue to fall apart. If the Wings can survive the first three after the break, the rest of the month doesn't look too bad.
because of this, I can confirm that we are not trading perron lol.I found this very interesting was in a Freep article from Lalonde:
"“I’m going into the room to address the guys and David Perron’s yelling, ‘We’re getting 18 points before the break.’ Kind of in my head, I’m like, has he not watched us lately? There’s no way we’re getting 18 points.
The expectation in the room has changed. To come out of Jan with 20 points after the December the team had is absolutely huge. The fact that they were called out by team leadership and responded is huge. This is a different team than the past. We may still lose the spot because the race is really tight, but I am confident that they will be in that race baring big injuries.
I think Perron is our unofficial C at this point. He's not a great player anymore but he's a good guy to show the team how to approach the game.because of this, I can confirm that we are not trading perron lol.
oh well.

I honestly think he finishes his career here.
