PHI prolly be 1 to sink n guessing NJD is one to get in metro.

I think it is more losing Backstrom and a actual #1 playmaking center. He needs someone that can get it to his 1 time spot on the PP.

Backstrom hasn't played 1C in years, not to mention he missed half of the previous 2 seasons. He was 2C on their Cup run. Plus it's usually not the center feeding him for the one timer. The play is set up to be a cross ice pass from the opposite wing or D, which is why they usually run Carlson for the righty to righty pass.

Kuz, TJ, and Ovy are all having pretty miserable year. Looks to me like age is taking its toll.

The good news is they'll probably suck next year too. How far can you get with Dylan Strome as 1C?

This is why I am just not worried at this point. Flyers are going to start going down more and more. Islanders will probably take that spot and the only other team that we need to semi worry about is the devils, but they have so much injury issues and not winning at all during this stretch. They'll have to put up crazy win streaks like the oilers to make it happen.

Even then, I think we edge out islanders anyways. I'd just highly prefer boston over rangers as our first series for some odd reason. I just think we play them better
