Cuban is no longer the majority owner..... hasn't been since midseason.....

COWHERD is the National voice of one Michael Felger do not buy into the hype and isn't to be trusted

Again, Cuban is not the majority owner, but he is in charge of basketball operations still. He was bascially on the bench in game 5 of the Minny series.

I can guarantee you will see Cuban many times more often than the new majority owners

Indiana is still young in terms of players, I think it starts with Sides. She wasn't good at drawing plays last year either. If I was that organization, I'd give Bluder a blank check and sign an enforcer. I'll take Cambage. I'll take anyone. That team needs somebody. Not just for CC, but for the other players too.

The WNBA is finally getting good recognition and eyes to the league, thanks in part to CC and this rookie class. Attendance is breaking records. It's amazing as a woman to see this league get it's due. But it's embarrassing to see NOBODIES like Cheddney do that. It was absolutely unnecessary. For someone who didnt wanna answer questions about Clark after the game, her Instagram posts and Twitter likes say otherwise. CC doesn't bother anyone. She just wants to hoop. And these women who are going at her unnecessarily isn't gonna help a league who before Clark, struggled to get people to not only attend, but watch.
it's not Indiana..... Vegas and Connecticut are the class de force in the WNBA.... THE Sun are the 1st Eastern team to win at least 9 straight.... this league has been cylical since the switch away from NBA ownership (which is why u lost SAC/CLE/HOU) Detroit was relocated twice to Tulsa, then Dallas, WHICH isn't even Dallas metro.... the reason this board rarely talks about the Sun and the WNBA in general is either the focus is on the C's, other teams in the market or as was the case a few threads back Maine and the OKC Blue championship since that has a direct connection to Boston ..... the reason why some posters can't get into the league as well because it's been stuck at a dozen teams and the Commisioners Cup in season doesn't help the promotion angle....

meanwhile, the NBA Finals are healthy as we get closer to gm 1 as both teams are healthy and KP will play tomorrow

the new Maverick owners are not casino owners, they are what Donald Carter was when the team was admitted in 1980, Cuban only bought in 1999..... 27% ISN'T Majority ownership.... that's like saying Brad Stevens has ownership shares in the Celtics.....

Well obviously lol

Connecticut starting off undefeated has surprised me. At the end of the day. Vegas is still the elite team. They need. More expansion teams. I don't understand why Boston doesn't have a team. I grew up watching Maya Moore and Taurasi. A'ja Wilson is MVP level so far this year.

Indiana is very young. They won't be winning any championships any time soon. But they might one day. They get the #1 overall pick again? Heck, even top 3? You're building your future. The future is bright, even though they're losing atm.

primary reason why Boston isn't considered a WNBA Market is where would they play for starters.... the Sun weren't even there until Mohegan Sun bought in when the NBA elected to focus on the G-League as the main development league.... the Sun are the defacto Boston team Indiana has been good before bottoming out after Catchings..... and remember the hype before Clark/Reese the focus out East was Ionescu when she joined the Liberty..... Minnesota's Lynx is no easy out either before the Aces arrived in Vegas.... remember, the Sun were alongside the Magic and the ECHL's Solar Bears in Orlando as the Miracle..... the courts in the WNBA arenas including Gainbridge, where the Fever play the majority.... I'm not sure how quickly the new Valkyries franchise will fit in at Chase Center when they arrive next year and then Toronto is announced for 2026....

Kind of like the PWHL.

It's fustrating because I've wanted a Boston team for a very long time. I just don't see it happening soon. I'm still glad they're expanding teams because lots of talented players aren't playing because there's no spots for them.

I'm excited about the future of the WNBA. Just like I am about the Celtics tomorrow.

the WNBA Will get there..... and remember there are bumps in the road w/ any league.... but it's better to have them play here than overseas which was the option for most post collegiately and that kinda ended after Griner

Hell baby

Yeah like I said before it’s a shoulder check, this response by both the media and fans is f***ing stupid. A flagrant 1, you see a few of those most nights in the NBA. Now you have a fan waiting at the team hotel trying to fight Carter. I’m sure I can guess exactly what he looks like and how he thinks. People need to get the sand out of their diapers and grow up. Caitlin can handle herself. She doesn’t need white knights (genius double entendre by me imo)

Yeah, I obviously think it was a totally needless, sort of cowardly cheap shot done for very stupid reasons, but the reaction is out of control.

Feel like i'm taking crazy pills. I get why the public are picking Dallas, they don't want Boston to win but i don't understand why the media seem to be going so in on the Mavericks. I think the only chance the Mavericks even have is if Doncic and Kyrie can score 60+ points every single night which they do have the talent to pull off.

Dallas packs the paint, which works against most teams where there is at least one non shooter on the floor, the Clippers, Thunder and Wolves all had at least one but that's not Boston and if they want to try push up and take away the three like Indiana did, then you can force Luka and Kyrie into switches and exploit their defense with there being more space in the paint to drive.

Dallas haven't played a single team these playoffs who were in the top half of the league for threes attempted per game in the regular season, Clippers and Wolves were bottom 8 of the league. In the last two series, 6 of their 8 wins were close games and now they're playing the team that takes way more threes than anyone else in the league and have 8 players who take 4+ threes a game and they all average 35% or better. I just think this is a bad matchup for Dallas, similar to how Boston was always a bad matchup for the Mike Budenholzer Bucks when the Celtics didn't have a player sabotaging the team so he can leave for Brooklyn.

Boston taking more 3s has shown it can keep them in games, and shoot them out of games. . In the end they made 3 more three pointers per game than OKC did.

Will they be super hot 4 out of 7 games? Who knows

Ultimately Dallas beat 3 teams significantly better than any team Boston played in this postseason, which is probably why they are the favorite to some. Boston was on cruise control all season, and cruise control against weaker, and severely weekend opponents. you could make the argument that this version of the team hasn't really played a critical game yet, as the last real must win, or even close to must win game they played was last spring

Boston has the more talented team. Dallas has the best player.

I don't care if the public likes or picks us.

I just want to win. The Brown and Tatum singing kumbaya about Kyrie bothers me more. Meanwhile Kyrie said for this series they aren't friends.

The latter mentality is what those two need to quickly realize. You're trying to win a championship. The guy against you is trying to take it from you. There should be no friends on the court until its over. The fact they haven't realized that yet gives me pause about this team.

the problem w/ the Sky is they think they're the next version of the late 80's Pistons and we all know how that ended..... and why Detroit has dropped to an almost irrelevant status in NBA Circles

Folks don't forget about NBA TV (Which most providers have had since the late 90s) which covers the Finals such as Media Day yesterday.... and YouTube TV.... NBA TV will be live from the Finals postgame starting tonight for those outside of New England/Dallas.... and likely will broadcast a condensed version of the NBA Finals games throughout the Finals

Off the top of my head (and only focused on my lifetime) these are some Boston sports villains I have higher:

1) Roger Clemens as a Person
2) Roger Clemens as a Yankee
3) Bernard Pollard
4) Ulf Samuelsson
5) Roger Clemens as a Blue Jay
6) Roger Clemens as an Astro
7) Asante Samuel
