I don't watch just remember good reports on him last season. If he makes NHL, I will have plenty time to watch him playBut they were playing in a pre-season tournament vs KHL teams.
What This Means for You:
Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Dont love that he's back at a level he's too good for.
I don't think he is, last year when they sent Zavragin to the VHL to be the backup, they still sent him down to the MHL a couple of times to get in games. Unless the VHL club has made a trade, Volokhin should be the backup and hopefully can steal more time from the vet they have.
As the KHL season unfolds and Demidov had a great start, I have included him in my top 10 U23 KHL prospects to follow in the 2024-2025 campaign.
Check it out:
I will watch a few other games and report back. I do like Khanin a lot.Quoting from the Demidov thread, but wanted to take the opportunity to ask if you had opinions on our other notable Russian prospects, namely Volokhin and Khanin ? (thread linked if you want to say your piece there)
We technically also have Sobolev and Kostenko, but we don't have much hope for them on this board.
Thank you for your input!
Volokhin backing up today, no surprise as he did not do well with his start.
Can SKA please trade Demidov also?
Unofficial but sounds like Volokhin has signed a 3 year deal with Sochi, his new KHL team. No word on what they plan on doing with him.

Don't love the length at 3 years, but thankfully we don't need him urgently.
Exactly why I wanted him over next summer.
Does fix some logjam issues though.
This probably means Volokhin will be in the VHL, which is HK Rostov.
Not sure what Sochi's plan is with Volokhin. He has yet to play a single game for them or any of their affiliates in the VHL and MHL. His last game was on October 7th. Unless he's injured, he's currently in limbo.
