MacTavish saved that ref's butt in OT from alot of criticism...that was a clear whack to the skates tripping penalty by the Finn, dirty play, and the ref was right there to see it, but gutless not to call it...never seen a ref so enthusiastic about waiving "no goal"!

Sandin and Niemela really have nothing to with each other. One is who will likely only play PP in his career with some spot PK time here and there, while Niemela likely plays both special times at full maturity, and there is even a chance Niemela is more used on the PK than the PP. Thats not say Niemela isn't good enough on the PP because he is, but you can see he should provide great value on the PK.

Jatkola wouldnt come close to playing for the marlies though. Theres already going to be a massive battle for playing time with Woll, Kallgren, Petruzzelli, possibly Hildeby and eventually Mckay when his suspension is over. Marlies and Growlers are gonna be packed.

Hildeby will be in Sweden this year.

It will almost certainly be Woll, Kallgren, and Petruzzelli unless McKay does something spectacular to pass Petruzzelli or they want Petruzzelli to get starting reps in the ECHL again.

McKay and Cavallin are the ECHL goalies, and I would hope Cavallin gets a good amount of opportunities to play with NFLD. McKay is 25 and small, so he is just quality filler to me.
