I feel really bad for these kids. They are a prop in all of this.

But I think a moment like this helps get us back to normal. Ordinary people wake up to how crazy all of this is when they see a tournament like this cancelled. This is a big embarrassment for those in power. Hopefully this forces accountability for what they’ve done. If that’s what it takes, then unfortunately this tournament is a needed casualty at this point.

2002 generation don’t get to play the U18s or U20s now. Not ideal.

The standards and protocols are set by the IIHF. Yes the host committee implements things. The choice not to have a bubble is an IIHF choice though.

yes, I understood that the protocols are from the IIHF and that they had agreed on the conditions set up by the organizers, but I also think there is some blame to be had for the organizers who should have looked into making some adjustments to new protocols in place. We may have to agree to disagree on this point

I assume you are criticizing the IIHF for attempting to host a hockey tournament as a new variant rips through the world. We are coming to the end of the pandemic, but it didn't end in time for the World Juniors. There is no injustice here.
