This is going to either be a really fun month, or just a meltdown for the fanbase. Kingkins vs Shatkins.
It will be a meltdown of the team with the fans having every right to shit on them. The team had a 99% chance of making the playoffs a month ago. Not to mention the the most putrid deadline ever. Shatkins will be gone if they miss the playoffs.

If one thing is for certain, you won't miss a chance to shit on the home team, as usual.

No, not a fan of losing, but also not a big whiner. There's a difference between being a little dissapointed vs spamming the board with the most vile shit imagineinable because your sports team didn't give you the dopamine hit you need to feel alive.

They still have the 4th highest odds of making the postseason in the AL. 3 series down the stretch against the O's including that 4 game set in the first week of September. They're very much in control of their destiny but it will likely come down to those divisional games against the O's and Rays.

I know a lot of people have been laughing at the Mariner's ROS schedule but after tonight they have an 11 game stretch against the Guardians/Os/Braves/Padres, and then immediately following that is 7 games against the Angels and A's who have both played the Mariners pretty tough this season. Still a lot of potential for movement/separation especially with Cleveland/Minnesota having another 8 games against each other. The Rays also have the Yankees for 6 of their next 9 games before their 5 game set against the Jays. The Yankees have Rays (x3), Twins (x4), Rays (x3), Red Sox (x2), Brewers (x3), Pirates (x2), Red Sox (x4), Blue Jays (x3), Orioles (x3), and Rangers (x4). It doesn't seem like much of an issue for the Yanks but with the way they've been playing post-AS break literally anything can happen. Honestly this final stretch has the potential for maximum chaos.

Maybe they should think about bringing Kirk and Gurriel down in the lineup. They are hurting our offence if they are hitting 3-4 while not hitting much, except for Kirk's homer last night. Bring Chappy and Teoscar up. Bo should be hitting 6th or 7th right now.

Who do you think should hit third?

There's a major difference between a reasonable person who gets frustrated at losing but can at least look at it with a rational mind and the healthy understanding that at the end of they day it's just sports and should not consume your soul to any unhealthy degree and the unreasonable person who throws an invective-filled, crass, childish temper tantrum every time something bad happens like every single thing that happens is the worst possible thing in the history of all possible things. Especially when the whiny tantrums are 90% of that person's interaction with other fans and show zero awareness beyond the need to lash out.

the latter is what you'd expect from a 4 year old and would probably rebuke a 5 year old for.

Dressing it up as "if you're not this angry then you don't care enough" is also ridiculous. People who don't throw toxic freakouts still care a lot. They just know there's no actual value in a screeching hissy fit.

Because you know what? a ton of psychological research shows that "venting" doesn't actually help. If anything it just makes you more miserable and more prone to getting angry because you normalize exploding as a fake therapeutic exercise.

Who do you think should hit third?

Given how things are right now?

Springer
Vladdy
Kirk
Gurriel
Teoscar
Chapman
Bichette
Jansen
Espinal/Biggio

There really isn't an ideal answer if certain guys are struggling as they are.

If things were in an ideal situation then I'd push Bichette up to 3 or 4 and swap Gurriel and Teoscar

Springer
Vladdy
Kirk
Teo
Gurriel
Chapman
Bo
Espinal/Biggio
Jansen/Merrifield

Putting Bo, Chapman, and Teo consecutively is too much swing and miss
