Yep.

and it's not even like it's catching lessons with him or anything. It's just a batch of gear (bat, jersey, cleats, catcher pads and presumably mask. I don't see a glove in the mix)
That's insane bunch of catching gear and signed equipment from Danny Jansen goes for 90K

It's great that they raised like $350k for charity, but none of those prizes are accessible for the average fan. Joe Blue Jays fan and his daughter who watch every game couldn't hope to bid on the trip to Toronto because Warren Richington XII will casually slap down $10 g's to get the tax receipt and be able to chortle at his country club cronies even though he already has a chartered plane on standby at all times and probably uses $8,000 luggage woven with gold thread and custom engraved nametags made of platinum and diamonds.

And I'm sorry, but $50 Ace bobbleheads or $150 random "game issue" (ie never actually worn and probably from a spring training game) player/coach jerseys (ie there's probably like 60 Charlie Montoyo ones and 1 Vladdy) isn't a substitute.

They should do a charity raffle. Fans can buy a ticket for $50 and be entered to win up to a certain number of prizes with it. So rich people can stuff the box with 100 tickets if they want but there's every chance that a "regular" person gets the opportunity to do something amazing they never would be able to otherwise.

The strike zone is horseshit. What the hell, bro?

I can sometimes almost understand crappy side-to-side calls because the ump is out of position. But how goddamn blind do you have to be to get a ball that's like 4 inches above the letters and still go "yeah, that's a strike."

If I didn't know better I'd almost say he was exacting revenge for Vladdy "showing him up" after running to 1st on the earlier non-call.

Can't be. Umps are not vengeful at all. No way. :sarcasm:

I can’t help but cheer for Baltimore. Fun team great story. Ideally both us and them get in.

Seattles a lock
Tampas almost a lock
It’s gonna be us or Baltimore

Not their night .. from the 7th on there were a handful of well hit balls right at a Cubs defender.

Plus the ump was balls.
