They clearly don't trust him. I think they are happy to get 4 innings with limited damage at this point. Again it's a confidence issue for him. First bad thing and it goes sideways. How do you fix that? I don't know

Nah, he was cooked. I don’t trust Kikuchi any more than I trust Thornton but at least Thornton is fresh. Kikuchi has the tools but his tool box is empty.

I hope our reinforcemen pitchers are better than what we have. I don’t trust Cimber. He is nowhere near the pitcher he was the half year we had him when we acquired him. He’s been meh ever since.

He's virtually identical to what he was last year, maybe only slightly worse overall (a few less Ks, marginally more hits) but he's also giving up significantly less hard contact.

But I guess "Cimber's pretty close to the same pitcher as he was in the half-year after we acquired him" isn't as spicy of a take.

This is the dilemma. We knew Danny's bat would cool off, but we also prefer Kirk as a DH.

They seem to be good for Kirk catching 2 times through the pitching rotation. Then he can DH a couple of times and get 1 day off. The question becomes when Springer is back do they want him DHing more often even though he does it fairly regularly now.
