Yes, Pat. Teams win a lot of games where closers come in for save situations. Because teams usually win games where they're up by a few runs in the last half inning. It was like that before closers became a thing and it'll be like that even if we go to some kind of 9-man super-pen that has every inning handled by a different pitcher. Because scoring multiple runs in an inning is hard. Not because Romano or any other reliever is magic.
