This team needs better defense... that's it! Bullpen was very good in the season. When Tapia was so far right on that Suarez hit, I knew right there, that the Mariners would make a comeback. Then the Springer and Bo incident... we need outfielders badly.

Also, Schneider’s refusal to take out Springer in the fifth(?) after the hand on the fence is on my mind. You have one one the best defensive CF’s right next to you in Bradley jr. You want to give Springer a meaningless AB, one of which he can’t hold his bat? I can’t help but think it would’ve helped having him on the pop fly that caused mayhem.

Wow that was ugly. For a contending team, why does every other bullpen have high velocity swing-and-miss guys and we don't? Complete bullpen failure. Bats did their job, starters did their job. Gut the bullpen. Unacceptable.

Schneider lost it. Gausman is paid to finish those innings. Too bad because I think Schneider was top notch all half season.

Could not agree more. Why pull your 22 million dollar starter who battled back for 2 outs. Give him the chance to either let his own runs score or finish and come in with a reliever next inning/after he actually makes a mistake. Schneider has been great, just made a split (bad) decision. Congrats to the mariners though they didn’t fold and maybe didn’t deserve the win but definitely fought enough to move on.

Team defense as a whole is a massive area that needs to be looked at that honestly isn't talked about enough. We need to seriously look at moving Bo off short and/or go get a legit CF to move Springer to a corner spot. Go along with seriously making the bullpen a priority. This is a big off season.
