I don't dismiss the tournament stuff I simply put that on the side and focus on Liiga because that's what concerns me. Mean streak bean streak, Anderson got 4 points in 20-odd playoff games. We need a star forward not another Armia. I hope he's a star forward.

In any case, the pick is made so let's hope for the best.

I personally don't put a lot of stock in men's league stats for 17 year old in his first year for projecting down the road. Caufield's first half stats under DD are an example why. The draft stock of a young kid in a high level men's league shouldn't be penalized at the mercy of playing vs experienced men for coaches who are paid to win rather than develop. I'm big on tools, what they do with their tools, development curve progress, compete, etc. It's also clear that Slaf developed a stronger defensive game over the course of the season.

Will he be able to score on NHL goalies? Sure, Dach is bigger than the centers available, and he went 3rd in a stronger draft, but he also messed up his wrist and Chicago was ready to let him go as part of a rebuild.

Hughes must know he can ship guys out.

The guy has a better shot, is a faster skater than people think and is a surprisingly smart passer. Also his hockey IQ is underrated. can’t lie his numbers in Liiga are fugly. That’s why I preferred Wright.

And I can’t tell you what he can do in the NHL. But Aho had identical numbers in the Liiga his draft year.
