I could see Columbus going after Giroux and Bergeron. With a short term / high dollar offer. Columbus will have cap space and a need for a center, but won’t want to commit too long. So if either of these guys want to get maximum dollars for a 3 year contract, Columbus could be a player. I could also see Columbus going after Trocheck. I don’t see Columbus going after Kadri unless everyone is afraid to sign him long term and Columbus gives him a high dollar short term offer.

Bergeron either resigns with Boston or retires, Giroux is more or less staying in Florida.

Here's the list of UFA's this summer:

Notable names:
-Evgeni Malkin
-Johnny Gaudreau
-Nazem Kadri
-Filip Forsberg
-Evander Kane
-Kris Letang
-Claude Giroux

-PK Subban
-Phil Kessel
-John Klingberg

Pick every good defensemen off of that list and have them sign in Carolina, because that is where all good defensemen seem to end up.

Buffalo is not in the market for wingers

the anticipate wingers next year
Skinner-Olofsson
xxx-Tuch
Girgensons-Okposo
Quinn-Peterka
Xxx is one of Krebs, Mittkestadt, .Cozens, or Thompson

thry would be in the market fir a
starting goalie
right Dman
Depth Center

they need to spend between those 3 and Olofsson about $18M to get safely above the cap floor.

only if Olofsson was saying he’s going UFA and only doing a 1 yr coukd buffalo be in the short term winger market.

Buffalo in last years draft drafted 4 wingers between mid 1st and early 3rd in top 70 picks. Thry have a large set of wingers both still in minors snd not yet signed.

if they were to sign/ acquire anyone it woukd be a 3 yr max contract.
