It's not even the starting pitching I'd be worried about. The bullpen is full of absolute dogshit outside of Whitlock and Barnes if he finds his stuff.

The entire staff is worrisome

If Barnes was April - June guy you could lock down 8th & 9th leads with Whitlock & Barnes

I would make Whitlock a 1 inning closer and make it a 8 inning game

Try and get 5 out of my starters and mix and match 6-8

I hate the Whitlock 2 innings without a bad ass closer

I trust Bloom with the long term plan, he has this organization in the right direction. But the 2022 roster isn't set to compete.

We were incredibly fortunate to make the run we did last year, but the team wasn't due to really arrive at full strength until 2023 or 2024 at earliest.

I do trust Bloom, too. But I wonder what this team is trying to achieve in 2022. This group does not feel like a contender nor rebuilding/retooling. They just play out the season and see X and JDM leave. This does not not feel inspiring to me. But long-term, this franchise is in good hands, no doubt for me.

On paper, it‘s 4th place save for some good fortune like last season. X W-L of last year had the Jays ahead anyway.

I'm still upset that we were legitimately jobbed out of a pennant by Laz Diaz last year and a WS berth with home field against an 87 win Braves team because that was our one real opportunity to take advantage since this club is still a year or two from true contention. And they promoted that guy to crew chief...

Those guys we got from the Brewers better turn into studs because Renfroe for Jackie really looks like a horrendously stupid move right now.

I'm being a little patient though considering Chaim made the right moves at the deadline last year to get Schwarber which dramatically changed our lineup altogether.

I'm being a little patient though considering Chaim made the right moves at the deadline last year to get Schwarber which dramatically changed our lineup altogether.

Jackie has gotten on the same amount of times in fewer AB’s as renfroe. Renfroe is 1-8 with a single.

Meanwhile one of the prospects went like 4-5 with 2 HR (1 GS), a 3B, and a SB yesterday in his org debut in AA
