A b2b with these two teams? Yeah, the NHL is slanting the ice towards Florida. Even thought it's at home, that's just brutal. What stupid meaningless concert is blocking our boys from playing at Amalie on Saturday????????
Whatever the f*** this is

I'd prefer a day in between each game, but I don't really see why everyone is so upset with the schedule.
B2B against Florida? Hell, half of our team will just be getting out of the training room when the 2nd game starts.

f*** back to backs in the playoffs man. Shouldn't even be a thing.

This could be a big factor in the series as well. So stupid

Maybe the schedule setters in Toronto didn't like us winning. I am sure if Toronto had of won there would be no B2B for them, prime time only with time in between games for their talking heads.

I hope everyone in the arena boos the ever living hell out of Kane Brown.

If I lived in the bay area, I'd be tempted to buy a ticket to the Kane Brown concert just so I can show up in my Cernak jersey and heckle him all night.

Then again, he'd get a cut of my ticket revenue and I'd risk getting kicked out of the arena so maybe that's not a good idea, but it seemed like a good idea at the time I was typing it.

How is a b2b a disadvantage for us again?
Well for starters early games are not our best, which is game 3. Game 4 or tail end of the b2b (which is opposite of how we've done this year) is traditionally a loss. Best way to manage this early is split the games in Sunrise. Gotta get 1 of 2 there cause who knows how a b2b in the playoffs will end up. That's how I look at it anyways.

I'm not really worried if Elliott has to play.

Back to back when one team has two starting goalies and the other has one. seems fair

For better or worse I don't see Elliott playing regardless, but Elliott had a .912 S% in 1063 minutes this year vs. Knight with a .908 in 1740 minutes. Factor in that Elliott likely dips a bit if he plays as much as Knight, but then factor in that Elliott also has a lot more playoff experience...we're not talking 2021 McBackup here. It's pretty much a draw among backup goalies.

Absolutely MUST split in Sunrise.

Question: does the team come home in between games 1 and 2?

But it hits both teams the same way no? So in that sense it’s fair.
Except home ice is supposed to be an advantage and for the Lightning's pivotal home games, one is at a time guys aren't used to playing and the other the next day. No excuses though - if they want to move on, obviously they have to manage. For all the mention of how this could be the best 2nd round match up, seems somewhat surprising that this series would get questionable scheduling but then again it is hockey in the sunshine state, and therefore taboo.

Definitely. Their games collide with the Heat games too, great effort by the league to try and grow the sport down there huh.
