Might as well make a brand new thread for the 2nd day.

Hoping for Firkus, Goyette or Trizokov at 38. I wouldn't be surprised for a curve ball again though.

Starts when? 11am EST?

Day 1 had some great trade action, more than we’ve seen in awhile. Day 2 usually sees more moves, albeit usually more minor.

Here’s hoping the Leafs make a bit more noise.

- move Holl seems like the obvious one
- moving Kerfoot would be nice but it’s more of an outside shot

Everything else is open.

Yep.

I hope the Leafs acquire a pick or two for their cap dumps this time around. I have a feeling they'll be quiet though or focus on acquiring younger/cheaper players instead of picks.

They have more than just the 38th pick? Perhaps grab a Goalie with a 3rd or 4th. Big time need.

This is what I am hoping as well. Move Holl for like a third, Kerfoot for a 2nd+ a late pick, and free up about 5.5 million. Then maybe trade down with one of our second or thirds to recoup a few more picks. Normally, I would be upset that we haven't drafted anyone in the first round in 3 years, but considering we have drafted Robertson and Knies in the 2nd round in back to back years, I'd like to give our Dubas and our scouting department a few more picks this year to add to our pool.

I'm hoping there is some movement, but I have a feeling we are just going to stand pat like last year and make our 3 picks.

A 3rd round pick for a UFA signing is pretty bad from Yzerman, unless he wants to give Husso 8 years.

But hey, he get's to secure him.

Wasn’t it last year they dealt a 3rd for Ned too?

Blues did great to get a 3rd for his rights. I’m not that big onHusso so I’m happy the Leafs didn’t get him

Same here.

Husso was a Leafs target though so I wonder what the plan is now. I think 3x 4.75M would be fine for Campbell.

I'd rather offer about 1M more for Kuemper though.

Gotta give Dubie some love here today .. OMG fleeced Hawks so bad .. wow I still can't believe it to be true .. if they end up with Beck at 38 it will be a huge fluke but who knows .. bottom line if they end up with Beck all Leaf fans will be shocked when they see him skate and play with decent players .. maybe they can trade up using Mik's rights to get him for sure .. if they do then fans will be happy as they will see a solution in future for JT .. heard last night they are back in discussions with Ducks for Gibson now

I am not really up to speed on this draft but I hear good things about Chesley. I'll just hope he's available, RHD are always nice finds.

That sets the Campbell/keumper ask pretty high

So 2 starters left on ufa

3/5 teams looking?
Devils
Us
Possibly Buffalo
Oilers
Possibly caps

Leafs still have the advantage of just keeping Campbell. They probably should use the Husso extension as a clear base and I don't think Campbell is worth all that much more.

Kuemper to me is still the dream I think but it would be risky to go up against a team like the Devils with infinite cap space.

Not surprised, they obviously have a plan that they are pretty confident will succeed. 🙏

I think 3x5 gets it done for sure with Jack. I agree we do have the inside track with him as long as we don't squeeze him.

Kuemper would be great. I think he gets like 6.5 though and I think we still can't afford that

I think campbell also needs to realize that he is in a situation where he is comfortable. He's struggled in the past with being mentally comfortable and there needs to be a value he puts on that as well. Due to his injuries and his inability to steal a series he isn't worth 5. 4.5x4 max.

I think that if they have a legit opportunity to get Gibson in a fair deal, that's the only choice for the Leafs.
