My idea of Seattle is depressive people everywhere drinking Starbucks. And it rains.
It is.
I'm sure the decision's been made by now.
I mean choices are montreal, poverty Arizona, living in Newark, a newish expansion team, Philly, Columbus, Ottawa, etc.feels weird....whenthe UFA begins, no one wants to be in MTL.....but for this draft, seems like every top prospect would prefer the Habs.
I don't remember the last time a generational player had his position changed once he got to the NHL. Do you? Especially never to accommodate lesser players.Bedard is generational because of his offense. He can do that from the wing. As much as he’s a phenom he’s also 5’9 and not very defensively oriented. I’d prefer him used like a Gaudreau or Kane on the wing where he can take chances every play.
Shane Wright on the other hand is a guy who’s game is a natural fit at center due to him being responsible.
There's certainly a point to it.Then I don't see the point of the meeting:
"We are taking you at #1" OK so why do it that morning instead of just announce the pick?
"We aren't taking you at #1" OK so now he leaks it to his agent?
One thing is for sure - I believe Slaf can handle the media. He's got a great personality.

Wherever he goes, he'll be a fan favourite.

Guys move to the wing all the time.I don't remember the last time a generational player had his position changed once he got to the NHL. Do you? Especially never to accommodate lesser players.
If they are indeed meeting, they're not doing it just for the sake of doing it. They're also not going to tell us why. LOL!What's the point? They've done everything so far to keep it all tight wrapped, why unravel it right before it happens?
I'm missing something just not sure what.
Except KK never took that quarter from Uncle BuckHandling the medias for one day is one thing.....we'll talk about it after a year or two. It's not when the medias loves you that it's though, it's when they start to turn against them.
KK was all smile when he came here and his smile quickly went away
Indeed imagine hime being picked #1 and then somehow mades it to the nhl year 1 just to end up with 4 goals and 6 assists in 60 games.Handling the medias for one day is one thing.....we'll talk about it after a year or two. My sportsbook that let me bet for Cooley at 1st overall at +1700 just yesterday is now at +700.
Wright and Slaf still favoured but are the sands shifting?
Or The Spaghetti Factory... which is an excellent place if you love eating spaghetti, in a factory.Real Italian Cuisine
Lafleur was a centre!Guys move to the wing all the time.
Modern Generational players don't change positions. Ever. What your suggesting would be unprecedented.Guys move to the wing all the time.
Lafleur much?Modern Generational players don't change positions. Ever. What your suggesting would be unprecedented.
Puts in context the size difference between the two as well
Modern generational players. You mean McDavid and Crosby? Ya two guys didn’t have to switch. Two guys who were bigger and better defensively. It’s called a small sample size.Modern Generational players don't change positions. Ever. What your suggesting would be unprecedented.
They don’t have a clue and just wing it last minute, just like usI'm really trying to understand the thought process of meeting a draft prospect the day of the draft.
