Idk if I'm numb to it or just not excited about the class or I've convinced myself were trading the pick.

Lacking the hype this yr. Obviously I want to win it but I don't think I'll flip out with excitement if we do

It probably won't work but who knows, right? :D
Haha! I actually was gonna post a picture of him, but I was scared that would jinx us lol... Just remember that if we lose on Jiricek, it's your fault!:D

ran in 10 times…6, 7, 6, 1, 6, 6, 6, 5, 6, 6. if i had to guess, i’d say we end up picking 6th. any later than that and i’m trying to move the pick for an established impact player.

As long as we don't fall past 5, I don't care.

Winning the lotto to just advance to #2 would be IDEAL because we would not be "forced" to draft Shane but instead get Slaf. :)

I posted this on the main board as well, but curious what would happen if the following scenario occurs:
- Columbus wins the first drawing, but can only move up 10 spots into the #2 pick.
- Devils win the 2nd drawing.

So, who gets the #2 & #3 picks? I think NJ goes #2 and Columbus gets bumped to #3 just based on the odds listed above (which doesn't show NJ having any chance at #3).

Just tried it for fun, I got 1, 5, 5, 6, 7, 5, 6, 5, 6, 7. A little more luck on my end... Luckily, I did the GDT so maybe it translates to some luck tonight! ;)

Jiricek hype is getting out of control, now I'm worried both Jiricek and Slafkovsky will be gone by 5 so I'd like to jump up. If not then hopefully Nemec is available wherever NJ picks from 5-7.

FWIW, Pronman updated his prospect rankings this morning. Here's how the top of the list looks:

Projected bubble NHL All-Star and top of the lineup player

Projected top of the lineup player

3. Logan Cooley, C, USA U-18 (NTDP)
4. David Jiricek, RHD, Plzen (CZREP)
5. Simon Nemec, RHD, Nitra (SLOVAKIA)

Projected bubble top and middle of the lineup player

6. Cutter Gauthier, LW, USA U-18 (NTDP)
7. Joakim Kemell, RW, Jyp (FINLAND)
8. Matthew Savoie, C, Winnipeg (WHL)
9. Danila Yurov, RW, Magnitogorsk (RUSSIA)
10. Jonathan Lekkerimaki, RW, Djurgarden (SWEDEN)

I hope we dont win the lottery itself tbh. If we move up to 2nd, that would be good. But I dont think it would be great since winning the lottery is limited now

The win limits apply to both moving up to the 1st or 2nd slot as "teams are only allowed to improve their positioning via the lottery twice in a 5 year period."

It also starts with this lottery, so past years wins have no impact.

If we win more than two times in the next 5 years, this team has some major issues.

I'd be just as happy moving up to #2 as I would #1 though, given Slafkovsky is likely the bigger need for this team.

If we drop to 6, I want Cutter. We need bigger guys that can shoot

my youngest owns five sports jerseys. Two are Anthony Davis and Zion Williamson, two are Nico Hischier and Jack Hughes. He's the good luck charm if I had to guess. He also has a Herb Jones jersey and that's also a form of luck. I hope NJ starts moving in the right direction next season and won't be in a realistic spot to win a draft lottery for the next however many years so I'd be happy for the team to win or get the second slot tonight.

Without a doubt Slafkovsky is gone by 5. Jiricek is iffy . If we pick 6th I’d say he is as good as gone

I took the afternoon off to make sure I can watch lol. I want to see it live when we win the lotto. That and I don’t feel like working

I was hoping Miro would drop to the 2nd round but if Pronman is just spouting what he's hearing (which I mean, is what he basically does now) I don't see him lasting to 20 even, he basically says without the diagnosis he's in the top 5.
