Looks like they learned absolutely nothing after last year. Goyette, Hutson Sykora all in a row then they go off the board, then Odelius gets picked right after. What a sequence that really stings.

Reverse Reach here: McKenzie #56, Button #46

6'2" 185 lbs Shoots Left D. age 18

Not Neiler. More like McGrattan because Halliday is bigger than Neil. I like them "bigger"!

6'4" 214 lbs Shoots Left Age 20 Center.
I meant the pic! Looks like a young version of Neil haha

We just drafted guys ranked in the 100's and 200's at 64 and 72. I get they watch these guys more, but at some point it gets ridiculous no?
I definitely have no expertise in scouting or player evaluation, but it does feel like we just pick whoever best fits the "big tough guy" mold best.

Canes killing day 2 of the draft

Trikozov, Perevalov, Forsmark, Lucius

Unreal
I often wonder how scouts at the NHL level are evaluated.

We've have incredibly poor european scouting over the last 5-10 years but as I understand it, we haven't replaced many of our scouts.

How is our organization (or any for that matter) actually ensuring their scouts are competent at their job?

Sens have 3 picks coming up in short succession soon. You know Jack Sparkes will be one of them.

Do you think Ottawa is the only team that has passed on him? Or maybe there is a reason. @Hale The Villain and others freak out every year, are wrong 95% of the time and remain as confidently wrong the following year.

I have no idea who you are, but I don't know why you think I'm freaking out about the Sens picks this year.

Definitely was very critical last year and have hardly been proven wrong about my feelings on their 2021 draft.
