Continuing the tradition from last year of drafting "Who?"

Because the picks last year really proved us wrong huh?
Pretty much the exact example.

Patience is required with teenagers, you’ll see…. Once again.

And don’t worry, we’ll put up with all the crap again until you do.

It's a reference to a player we used to have ;)
‘‘Twas a joke my friend! :)

Pronman had him 76th in his mock draft. I am sure there are many people who had him in this range... we know of at least 2, and Pronman is pretty plugged in.
The things separating players at this stage of the draft are minuscule. Like taking a guy in the third that was projected fifth by a list and bitching about it is insane.

I think there were better picks than the Senators made at the pick #; however, we shall see in the fullness of time if the Senator's scouts and GM were smarter or not.

I don't have a problem with "reaching" once you get past day 1.

The problem is that upon first glance the Sens seem to be repeating their strategy from their disastrous 2021 draft - pick big kids that skate fast but can't think and don't have enough skill to make up for it.

Hopefully I'm wrong. I trust the HockeyProspects guys when it comes to their evaluations about 90% of the time and they think the Swedes we picked aren't exactly geniuses in the IQ department.

Maybe Murray @ 50% retained for a pick?

Might have some value to the Leafs at only 3.1275M in cap hit for the next 2 years.

Would actually save us more money retaining 50% than buying Murray out.

Does anyone know the cap difference between buying out and retaining on Murray over the next few years?
