So on brand for this team to so blatantly misunderstand the value of a) their assets and b) the value their targets

If they wanted Cutter so bad (misevaluation #1) you could have traded down

What one or two spots? Gauthier was a top 5 or 6 on most boards. Chuck got the best player available.

Gauthier may turn out to be a good player for us, but there's no denying that Chuck is so far out of his league with these other GM's, and many of them aren't exactly the brightest either. a savvy GM would make a killing at the draft, but Chuck's poor asset management is legendary. he truly has no idea what he's doing. there's no plan at all. like, what are we even doing? why hasn't JVR been traded yet? did Chuck fall asleep at the draft table?

Don’t think there’s a line of teams looking to trade assets for JVR at $7m
