Still voted Lambert. That Chisholm argument is sounding good too.
If Chisholm and Samberg both pan out, maybe trading Heinola away is the right call?

I wouldn't go that route...

I think Heinola has top pairing potential. You could have Heinola-Morrissey, Samberg-Pionk, Chisholm-Schmidt, or someone with a better defensive game.

It's going to be interesting how this poll turns out. I'd still have Torgersson in the top 10, in fact I'd love to see the kid win a spot right out of camp. Chisholm and Torgersson should be close in my opinion, one has 3rd line potential, the other 3rd pairing.

I think the top 6 will probably have Perfetti, Heinola, Mc Groarty, Samberg, Lambert and Lucius, then it will get interesting where Chisholm, Torgersson, the two Russians from last year, Gustafsson and Barron all sort themselves out. And some other new additions this year.

Wow, what a terrific audience.

I think Rutgers upside is higher than Samberg although Samberg is closer to the NHL. So I'm going Rutger.

I don't know how anybody could think he has higher upside. Higher floor, better chance of becoming an NHL player, fine there's an argument there, but in terms of upside Samberg is nowhere close to Heinola.
I can see where you got confused with me maybe using some bigger words than you are used to.

I do like how you start your post with the statement “I don’t know”!

Admitting your lack of knowledge upfront is key.

To help you understand what I was saying I will phrase it a bit differently.

I think Samberg will be a better more effective player in the NHL than Heinola over the course of their 2 careers.

I hope that helps you better understand.

Wow name calling!

You obviously didn’t like my post!
Or
Do not like to be told the truth! / Do not like to hear any point of view other than your own.

I did not like your post, preceding mine and that’s why I pointed out the ignorance of your statement. (Basically agreeing with what you said…..that “ you don’t know”.

Simple math!

I think that SamBerg > Heinola

You made a statement basically saying that it is inconceivable to you that anyone would or could think that.

However,

Vote 2 of our prospect list had just occurred and 38% said that Heinola is the better prospect.
-30% had voted that Samberg was the better prospect.

close race….. but it’s inconceivable to you that anybody could think Samberg is a better than Heinola.

Your post was negative towards anybody that had a different opinion than yours.

You said “you do not know how”

This is How…..

Samberg is a big strong defensive defence man the kind of defence man that wins you playoff series. In the mold of Peece and Slavin from Carolina. The kind of defence man you need to win games when it matters.

Heinola is a slight European that is good offensively but easily knocked off the puck and is a liability in his own end.In the mold of Enstrom /Sami Niku/Christian Ehrhoff. good for points in the regular season but also more likely to lose you the game in triple overtime in the playoffs.

Well that was unnecessarily douchey.

I didn't call you a douche, I said your post was douchey. You know, the one where you started off by condescendingly saying that I must be confused because you were using bigger words, implying that I'm an idiot. I have no issue hearing opinions other than my own, in fact, considering how you're reacting to being disagreed with I get the impression that it's probably a much bigger issue for you than it is for me.

To clarify my original post, I was talking upside specifically, which I tend to use interchangeably with ceiling, right or wrong. Sorry if that led to confusion but I thought it was pretty clear considering the rest of my post.

With no sly remarks or 2nd meanings hidden in print intended anywhere in this post.

If I were a GM and building any team and had the choice between Heinola and Samberg at their present stage of development.

I would choose Samberg building my team for the future every time.

That statement should clarify any descriptions like floor / ceiling /potential/ metrics or analytics blah blah blah of each of their games.

I think inserting Samberg into the lineup over Heinola would have a more positive result.

I see Samberg having a complete game .

I would also predict that over the course of both of their careers that Samberg will have double the career earnings of Heinola.

Having made the above statements.

I hope you can see why I would not care for you quoting my post and stating it’s Basically inconceivable to you that Samberg > Heinola.

Either way I’m hoping that Samberg Heinola both reach their potential and provide a positive contribution to the Jets in the future.
